Watch Ricky Stuart implode at the Sharks

Stuart, the man that has had little success in 2 years now takes on the unenviable task of restoring some pride and results back in the Sharks.

So how is this going to pan out brethren???

I will tell you exactly how!!!!!!!!!

He is going to FAIL FAIL FAIL.

and then what for the Sharks......the best thing to happen at that club was Adrian Lam. What happened to him?????? bye bye Kumul.

Watch Stuarts blood pressure escalate at round 12 when he starts hurling furniture around dressing sheds.

He is an angry man who has been given a free pass from the press over the last 2 years for poor coaching without the help of Phil Gould.

Roosters are just like Penrith. A bloke brings premiership glory, and he is dehumanised after a few lean "where's Freddy" seasons.

With Finch's future safe and sound at Parra, league needs a new nationalscapegoat. enter Ricky Stuart - the most sucessful Chooks coach since Jack Gibson, and the most sucessful coach of this now ageing decade. Stating that's he won't win a premiership at Cronulla - a club whose last 5 coaches probably have a better resume that the last 5 of ANY club - is bloody obvious. It's like plonking Bill Gates into the Storm and expecting them to be financially self sufficient.

Bugger it, I'm getting sick of the Stuart haters. I'm no fan of the bloke personally (SL traitor - ex Bulldog - knob in the press), but he resurrected the Chooks, the Blues and now the Roos from a losing culture (as per next week ;-)). Maybe he can do that at the Sharks?

If he can't, I know of no other coach that can.

Funny how most roosters fans can't stand Sticky now that he's gone:roll:

Either way It doesn't matter who we replaced Raper with, it was always going to be a step up. We have the current Australian coach who still has something to prove at club level.

I can live with that.

Mark my words the Sharks will surprise many this year;-)

errm you have Chris Anderson, at least you know what you are in for!!!!
So we can look forward to 3 GF's and a win!?

Ricky may not bring a premiership but he will instill more pride and passion back in the joint and try and restore the shambles left by Raper from the ground up.
It is true that the Sharks break coaches

I think that you did that this year with 10 straight losses after being in 3rd place early. Next year you might suprise a few.:D

Ricky Stuart was one of the great modern day players. He has a football brain that is second to none. He may be old school in his coaching methods with the drill training and the focus on big defence, but he has enough of a clue to restore a bit of pride to the Sharks. I think they made a great signing.

Ha Ha. I know which coach I would rather have for 2007.

I'd like your board of directors though.

Imagine if Ricky Stuart turned the Sharks into a powerhouse and they won the premiership?

Hate to burst your bubble but that wasn't close to a surprise. Shark fans picked before the rot even started that something needed to be done and if not, losses would be inevitable.

Like to take a guess over the past 3 years how many we have of the last 10 games of each season under Raper?

2004
won 3, lost 7

2005
won 3, lost 7

2006
lost all 10.

Late season fadeouts were no surprise.

Personally I can't think of a coach I'd rather have given we need almost a complete re-build throughout all 3 grades.

I do not expect a good season next year, Sticky has a lot of clean up to do as our previous coach was clueless and took us backwards. The following year I do expect to see a dramatic improvement.

Lang did well, Ando took us backwards and Raper was just clueless.

I do think Sticky is the type of character to take us forward in leaps and bounds once he has cleaned up the mess.

Sorry. As hard as I try, I can't even imagine that.

They players like and respect stuart, something that wasn't there under Raper. Stuart attracts players, sponsers and other quality coaches(such as Dymock) where Raper didn't.

The sharks have been a soft club for a very long time. Anderson tried to change this but he lost his mind with selecting his son in the centres and releasing half the team and replacing them with guys like Tweedle, Wessel etc. But other things he did were good such as blood youngsters. Under Raper we have lost some of our best jnrs because he didn't look at them, Stuart hopefully will address this.

We've gone from the worst coach in the NRL to the australian coach. Thongs might not change next season on the field but we are already a stronger and happier club for having Stuart involved.
