Watson considering retirement over this now.
I think Watson deserved to be dropped on form. But this is beyond ridiculous.
Where is that being reported ? ( honest question)

Australia allrounder Shane Watson is considering his future in the game after being axed from the squad for the Mohali Test on disciplinary grounds and then leaving the tour to be with his pregnant wife. Watson was one of four players punished by the team management for ignoring team orders.
"Any time you're suspended for a Test match unless you do something unbelievably wrong, and obviously everyone knows what those rules are . . . I think it is very harsh," Watson told Sydney Morning Herald. "At this point in time I'm at a stage where I'm sort of weighing up my future and what I want to do with my cricket in general, to be honest. I do love playing, there is no doubt about that, but at this point in time I'm going to spend the next few weeks with my family and just weigh up my options of just exactly which direction I want to go.
"There are lot more important things in life - I certainly do love playing cricket and that passion is still there and I feel like I'm in the prime years of my cricket career. From that perspective I still feel like I've got a lot to give. But from a holistic perspective I've got to sit down with my family and decide which directions they are."
More to follow
AS Australian cricketers, we're expected to maintain the highest of standards. And in the case of the four players stood down from the third Test here in India, those standards have not been met.
This was not an isolated incident. As a team over the past couple of months we have not reached the standards expected of us as Australian cricketers.
This is the straw that broke the camel's back.
Our coach, Mickey Arthur, asked the team to take a few days after our loss in Hyderabad to think about their performances and report back with suggestions as to how they can help the team and turn the series around.
It's not good enough for players not to have complied with those wishes and, quite frankly, it's disrespectful toward the coach.
We need to uphold the highest of standards in this team and it's unfortunate we have reached this point.
A lot of people will ask about Shane Watson and the vice-captaincy. I absolutely believe he can bounce back from this and be the Australian vice-captain again.
Watto is one of the best players in the world when he is at the top of his game.
"We didn't consider the names of the individuals when arriving at this decision but made a call in the best interests of the team.
We have to give ourselves the best chance to win the next two Tests to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. To do that, we need everyone pulling in the same direction.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case after Hyderabad and we've arrived at this situation.
It is my sincere hope that we will emerge from this a stronger team and do our millions of fans back home proud.
After hussey's last test there was ( supposedly) a dispute about where the team would celebrate. Clarke wanted to take the team out on a boat on the harbour but hussey wanted to keep it close to the hotel so he could be with his family.
Yeah it doesn't sound like much , but you'd think after what hussey has given Australian cricket he would have gone along with his wishes.
if clarke were to be dumped as captain, who the hell would take on the job? Sids?
Clarke then had the boat function ratified as an official cricket Australia function meaning sanctions could be handed down to players who did not attend. Hussey didn't and I believe Nathan Lyon and possibly Watson also didn't go. Hussey also was told he would be picked for 2 one day matches. One in Perth and one other. Then Clarke later told him he wouldn't be picked for any matches but could have a lap of honour in Perth instead. Hussey told Clarke to shove the lap of honour up his arse.
Clarke needs to be removed from the selection table ASAP. His personality type was always going to make it unworkable.
His role should be to captain the side on the field and represent the players and their interests to the team staff, selection panel and CA.
