Well I take it he was at work today for Souths.
Pre season training starts next Monday.

If Seibs stays on it’ll be a long season next year. I wouldn’t listen to a coach who has pissed off the first chance he gets and thrown a dagger at Souths so to speak..

You seem to make a lot of speculative statements and claim them as fact, issue is only a smart person would even bother having or posting an opinion on here after they have gathered all the relevant facts and info to make that opinion
Yours on the other hand seem total speculation and whatever crap you think up in your head you blurt all over here as if it's fact ???? Where's your proof about Seibold knifing us ? . You know sweet f all more than any of us
For all you know a family member may have a serious life threatening illness that he needs to be near
Enough of your dribble search some facts before blurting your fantasies as fact
Carry on

Oh and just like those certain types that constantly post crap they do every day all over Facebook it's obvious to those smart enough to read between the lines the reality is starkly different
They obviously have no or very little to do in their mundane life's hence that's exactly why they have sooo much time to sit at a keyboard every day ,how bloody boring, their is a big world out their and much more to immerse yourself in than just one football team
Get out their and amongst it,typing at a keyboard everyday is not living life

From Sporting News,

Anthony Seibold confident he hasn't lost the Rabbitohs players

Anthony Seibold has returned to work at South Sydney insisting he has not lost the players’ respect despite his impending exit.

Seibold will take over at the Broncos in 2020 in a coach swap with Wayne Bennett, although there is every chance the pair could make the switch ahead of the 2019 campaign.

Despite the uncertainty and rumours of player unrest, Seibold walked into Redfern Oval on Wednesday declaring he had not ‘lost’ the dressing-room.

"Someone has obviously got an agenda there by saying that stuff. I had a great evening with the guys at Damien Cook's wedding last Friday night,” he told the media.

"I got some really lovely texts and phone calls from the players over the last week.

“Obviously they're disappointed I'm going to move on in 2020 but they understand my reasons for wanting to go home.

"I've got a great relationship with the players. One of the things I did 12 months ago was put a lot of time into building relationships with the players.

"Because, when I took over, the players, I suppose, came off the back of not such great seasons. I did a lot of work around relationships.

"My love for the playing group and the club hasn't diminished.”

But Seibold acknowledges his decision to leave Souths off the back of his debut season is not the greatest outcome for the club

He admitted telling owner Russell Crowe he was moving on was tough, but he has few regrets.

Seibold said: "It was a conversation I didn't really like making but I didn't want to let Russell down.

"Russell understood. I spoke to Russell on a number of occasions. He was the first person from the club that I told that I was going to the Broncos on 2020.

“At the end of the day, I did what's best for me.

"I'm keen to go to work. It's been a real positive last 12 months here. The players have worked really hard and I love working with them here.

“I'm going to work and I'm really excited about the opportunity.”

The Rabbitohs have also agreed to a request for a contract release for Anthony Seibold to join the Brisbane Broncos this coming season.

Coach Bennett had already signed a deal to join the Rabbitohs in 2020 on a two-year contract, which is now extended to a three-year agreement including Season 2019.

"I'm really pleased it's all resolved and that I can join this great Club with a free mind, knowing I did the right thing by the fans, staff and players," Bennett said.

"I'm really looking forward to being at South Sydney and working with the players, staff, Board and all of the Members.

"It's a wonderful Club, South Sydney, and I feel privileged to have the chance to coach this team."

Rabbitohs General Manager of Football, Shane Richardson, is very happy to have Bennett on board for the coming season.

"Wayne is ready to go for 2019 and we're ready for him to start his tenure with us," Mr Richardson said.

"Everyone is really excited about the season ahead and we're sure it will be a great year for our Members and supporters.

"We thank Anthony for his efforts over the past two years and we wish him, his wife Hollie and his three daughters Isabella, Ava and Sienna the best for the future."

Hopefully we will have Dragons Bennett and not Knights Bennett. I think last year we showed we were close enough, like the Dragons were before Wayne’s arrival. We aren’t in rebuild mode like the Knights were. I’m very hopeful if not confident.

There are a few things that Wayne must do once he arrives that in my opinion, are very important.

Firstly, I think he owes us an apology. He owes the club, the players, the staff, the members and the fans an apology because there's no doubt we have all been hugely mucked around by this situation and a lot of it has been his doing so I think he owes us an apology.

Wayne also has to really buy into the culture and the history of our great club. I have no doubt that he will have a lot of studying to do on our history and culture which should see him fit in well. I think that Bennett will really fit in well here because he loves the 'us against the world' mentality, a mentality that resonates a lot with Souths. I also think he will connect well with the working-class culture of the club. Buying into the culture and the history is one of the most important things he could do in my opinion.

He must also really work up a relationship with every individual player. This is something Seibs did really well in a short space of time, he really got to know his players as men and got to know them on a personal level. This builds up a great relationship and well, we all saw the results. This is something I'm sure Wayne will have no problem with. He is a fantastic man manager and puts a lot of time into forming a connection with his players. In response, the players love playing under him so I'm sure there will be no issues in this regard.

In additon, Bennett must make Cook's re-signing a priority. There's rumours that Cookie has already re-signed but Wayne must get in there and make sure of it. We just can't afford to lose one of our biggest stars who is extremely important to the future of the club.

Personally, I can't wait to see Wayne in the Red and Green!! Anyone know if he'll be at training today?

I'm a lot more confident about 2019 then I was about 2018. As much as I wasn't a fan of Seibold, I think he did a few good things. Wayne is a pretty canny bloke and I reckon he'll be latching on to all of the good from last year. He won't want to change too much when it comes to our left edge attack and I think he'll also be allowing Cookie to play the same heads up football we've been seeing from him. In fact, I think that not much will change with regard to our attack at all. If it's not broken then don't fix it. Personally I believe that the only thing on that side that could be improved is the impact we see from our fullback. I think Wayne is onto this and already looking to make a modification there. It sounds like Inglis may be back in the 1 to start the season and I hope this will be the case.

Where I do expect to see big changes is in our defensive structures. Wayne's had a lot of young guys to coach in Brisbane the last few years and I know that the Broncos of recent times haven't lived up to Wayne Bennett coached teams of old, but in the past, his teams have won games and competitions on defense and I expect that he will bring that ethos to Souths.

So really, in summary, if Wayne can get some more input out of our fullback, be it Johnston, Inglis or Allen then I think we will be ok on the attacking side of the ledger. We had little trouble scoring points last year and I expect more of the same in 2019.

Where Wayne will have his work cut out is on the defensive side. We will miss Angus in that area, obviously, but I think we have enough young talent in the squad to fill that gap and I also expect that, unlike Seibold, Wayne will get the most out of our bench and that will help. Bennett is arguably the greatest coach of all time and I think he can be the difference between the third that we finished last year and taking us to the grand final this year.

Obviously, it hasn't been the ideal start to his tenure at Souths but he has plenty of time now to get to work and make some improvements to the team.

I think 2019 will be a lot harder for Cook to weave his magic
As we all saw in the finals he was virtually shut down as every coach was all over his antics especially Trent Robinson
I really hope Wayne can help him out with some new strategies to keep the forwards rolling down field making lots of metres
Next year will define if Cook is worth all the cash or not ,does he have the brain to think outside the square,as he had little to offer late in the season apart from the Storm game
Thoughts guys .............

He was definitely kept quiet as the season went on, especially finals. Not sure if he was just tired from playing 80 minutes of footy a week as well as Origin or whether coaches worked out his game. Hopefully Wayne has some more tricks up his sleeve.
