Personally i think our starting crowds haven't been too bad but as we recognise we need to increase them to remain vaible and grow what are your ideas for things the club could be doing?

List them here and I will send them to the Reds when we have a decent list.

Here's a couple to start them off:

Sell tickets for the coming game through the WARL clubs. Let the clubs keep 10% of income on all tickets sold.

Give 50 free tickets to one school each game that plays RL.

Have a family day (next Sunday game) where kids get in free with a paying adult and have some things for them like face painting, free flags etc.

For next season offer 12 games for the price of 10 season memberships. Have a 1/2 season membership for those who work and can only make 1/2 the games. Have a family members only bar where after match presentations are made.

do radio prizes or something, where u get 2 free tickets to home game for answering a quiz on league

get reds players to (who can) go to schools and promote the game giving away tickets

promote the game to the 'golden triangle' these guys (peppy grove, cott) have the $$.

keep up the good work.

the reds give out crap loads of free child admissions and buy one get one frees already
every school tournament that was (is) held everyone who attended was given one
i know north beach got their hands on a stack at least once, i tend to not be at junior trainings so dunno if thats regular
nuke have you thought about organising your seniors to all go? im sure you could ring up the WARL and buy bulk discount tickets (maybe even free), go there, watch the game, have a couple beers, and then maybe hire a cheap bus or something to take those interested somewhere after the game, or even back to joondalup area or old bailey or something

Here's one that worked really well for my UK club.

Start a Jnr Reds club. Charge $10 membership but give them loads of freebies and things just for them. Birthday cards signed by the players, invites to kids coaching clinics, colouring competitions, the possibilities are endless.

My club got 600 kids in its jnr club! Get the kids now for the adults of the future.

I've tried to get both the WA Reds and Salford Reds connected (being a fan of both of course), so that they can help each other out, but as RL is, apathy exists. :(

You've gone right down in my estimation Alehana! I am a life long fan of the only true Hull team left, the mighty Hull KR!

yeh divides the city East and West. East is HKR, West is HFC and never the twain shall meet! You haven't been to a real RL derby until you've been to a HKRvHFC game!

Back to topic how about we move all WARL games to a Sunday, jnrs in morning, snrs in afternoon. Reds games could then be played at 3.30pm on a Saturday afternoon which would draw bigger crowds I reckon.

They do need to be played during daylight so some of us can travel back to Kalgoorlie!

Its good that the club have negotiated WARL games now as curtain raisers, it's a start.

I don't think that'd work either I'm afraid. Juniors days usually start quite early (8:30am-9am ... something like that), and don't finish until 4:30pm or after. To play another 3 games (Womens, Premier-Grade, First-Grade) after that would mean game days wouldn't finish until about 8:30pm.
