Anybody get a full house? Just watched the replay after being at the game, he talks about a chip over the top every week lol.

 I thought about this halfway through the game, after about his third 'power play'. Top drawer and big unit were used fairly consistently too.

Still, I wasn't sure who was dictating terms :sarcasm:

Congratulations to the Melbourne Storm on being world champions.

Great game, top quality, especially for this time of the year.

That bloody Cam Smith instigated the sin binnings too. Whinger he is. That rule change 3 days ago got the Storm over the line.

Funniest thing is that the only penalty for it went against Melbourne (guess who).

That penalty was for a late hit, not a shoulder charge. The impact that rule had was a big fat zero

Both sides must have been upping their " How not to shoulder charge" sessions :sarcasm:

Good tough game, great crowd and atmosphere, well deserved winners. Only RL fans could whinge about something as positive for the game as this is. Well done Melbourne for taking it seriously, well done Leeds for showing SL is no where near off the NRL standard as most ignorant Aussies believe and well done RL fans for tuning in and turning up.

We all know he is not the best player in the world but he is still a class footballer.

Nah sorry. The big 3 of Melbourne were showing left right and centre why they're the best players in the world. Sinfield wasn't even sighted. I didn't even know who he was until some failed grubber kick near the end of the game... you would never see Cronk or Smith failing like that. Just cause he can kick goals while he has a concussion  who couldn't? Aren't you meant to be off the field if you have concussion anyway? wtf. Sinfield is rubbish.

Like running from dummy half and getting easily contained.
Sinfield was ordinary and Smith played really well but he was hardly flawless. Cronk and Slater too.

Congrats to the Melbourne Storm. Confirmed without any shadow of a doubt that they're the best club team on the planet.

Recorded this on Fox IQ but missed the last 7 minutes because it started 20 minutes later than scheduled. Was pretty stoked about that.

YAWN. Hopefully one day the sinfield-golden-boot-bug up the ass of disapproving fans will die soon enough. The guy is all class - Bellamy, Smith, Slater and Cronk seem to agree. Can't really believe an award chosen by a magazine on entirely subjective criteria caused such a stink.

As for the game. A great advert for the concept. Leeds troubled Storm out wide more than many will in the course of the season. One wonders what might have been if they had a first choice backline. Storm defence was superb and you cant argue with their professionalism, attitude and general respect. That's why they are the two benchmark clubs in the game IMO. We'll see how Hetherington's efforts to expand the concept go, but this wont have harmed the proposals.

Only thing I found disappointing was playing at a ground that ltd the capacity. Didn't they get 30k+ at Elland rd in the past?

For all their money you would think they could modernise Headingly.

What was disappointing about that? It was their home ground. It was full and atmosphere looked unreal.

Why would we want a bigger stadium more modern stadium that would be half empty every week?

That's the only thing i believe that lets down the superior product that is the NRL, 1/3rd full massive stadiums for most rounds.

The NRL could do with more grounds like Headingley for most weekly rounds until it gets to finals time.

This is only 5/6 years old this stand so it has been modernized

Guessing you've never been to Headingley

Actually I regularly made the trip up the M62 and stood on the crumbling terrace away end with no cover (in Winter!) Aside from the new stand doesn't look like it has changed at all since back in my day.
