Email message from the Eels about conduct on Friday night.

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels play host to the Melbourne Storm this Friday night. I want to make some valid points very clear to our Members & supporters, as part of an appeal to ensure we - as a very proud club - provide a positive image to all of the rugby league community on the night.
The Storm fans have been hard hit innocent bystanders in the current Melbourne Storm situation. They have shown outstanding loyalty and devotion to their team, to the degree that any NRL club would be proud of. They are no doubt hurting and we should recognise that and welcome those who have stuck by their players.
Secondly, the players do not deserve abuse from any opposing clubs' supporters. This behaviour only ta rnishes the reputation of the opposing clubs supporter base.
Our skippers Nathan Cayless and Nathan Hindmarsh, and players right through the entire NRL squad, have endorsed this message to our Members & supporters. They ask that we give the Storm the vocal parochial welcome that you would afford any team in the NRL - but nothing more! Let them know they are on our home turf and we're right behind our boys, but don't drag down our hard fought positive record as a supporter group.
Please get this message out to all those who support the Pirtek Parramatta Eels and plan to be there on Friday night. We want to be seen as club that plays by the rules on and off the field.
Any ill-directed emotion or abuse on the night will not be tolerated. Please click here to remind yourself of the Supporters Code of Conduct.
