Just on Karawana. I was prepared to say he was the most improved player in the club prior to the problems late in the year with Smith. He turned into Shawn Rudder over night. I still think Karawana has potential as a lock forward, but he has to work harder than he has been on the ground.

Wes was rubbish, Tovo looked good with limited touches.

Vuna is by far the best winger in the club and Sau looked the best he has for several months.

I am a massive Cooper fan, if not the biggest, but you are forgetting McManus.

In saying that:

2. McManus
5. Vuna

That could have us set for the next 6-7 years.

I just think that Vuna offers more in attack, he can score long range tries. Not sure that Mcmanus can.

That said, Mchaggis is a good winger, I won't argue with you on this.

Whats the future for Aku, will he get a shot again this year?

What's the story with Jimmy? Thought he was gonna be available for the Manly game some weeks back.

HAHAHA Oh dear.

Hope you haven't gone off a week too early and put the mock on him.

I think we f*cked up not letting them both go.

Even if we do lose next week, Dureau at least played finals. What did Walsh do?

To be fair, Dureau had a side wanting to win the game around him today. Walsh had a bunch of blokes seemingly annoyed that Newcastle lost to Canberra last week. Penrith's season ended against parra, I dont think there is any doubt about that.

i think todays game was zero indication into either player. one team wanted it, the other had already booked their mad monday schedule in.

Truth is, this thread will still probably be going in 3 years time ( that is if both aren't playing in Group 9 or group wherever or newcastle RL by then ).

I dont think its a matter of who is the better half but more who is the better half to partner Mullen.

Scotty is the better long kicker and organiser, 2 skills Mullo is weak in

I think the thread should be called "we have the lesser of two evils".

Just imagine what we could do with a real halfback?
