Good Idea Simpson would play well anywhere but at the moment he stops the opposition centres in there tracks (Sort of a Paul Sait Clone with a bit of Choppy Close in there) Leave him in the centres.
How bout Jamie Simpson at Fullback? Runs hard, good pace and has some size about him.

He'd go pretty well there I reckon.

Would love to see wade Mckinnon given another chance in the red and green if he were available and if he recovers well from current injury.

Is McKinnon off contract or has he another year to run he would be perfect especially he has been coached by JT.

Yeah he recently extended his contract until 2011. And even if he was off contract from a couple of interviews I have read since he has been over here he wouldn't be too keen on going back to Souths.

Yeah I've read the same. Wade was around near the end of the old Souths era. The club is run differently now, but some of the guys who were around in the old times have been badly burnt and would probably never come back.

As has been noted, many an elite player has had the occasional shocker.

He did contest that bomb, the way he was positioned, he couldnt get the speed up he needed for a high leap. An experienced player may have taken a few steps back so that he had a chance of stopping Crisp or slowing him down after he had caught it. I was right in fromt of it.

It was a very hard play to defend against on your own.

He shouldnt have spilt the ball near our try-line, that was a loose carry and we paid the price. He'll learn from that.

A brain snap from the kick off, happens.

But he scored two tremendous tries including the match winner and was in good position for most of the game.

I reckon anyone who has played footy would have some sympathy for him.

As I said, I didnt see enough horror to bench him for the next match.

And we need to be at the very top of our game v the eels. Make no mistake, they will come out firing.
Anybody remember Wade Mc Kinnons game against the Broncos a few years ago, he bounced back okay. I think Capewell is good enough for 1st grade, Im just not sure what position though.

Foley from the Roosters might be a thought, Wane Bennett is supposedly looking at him for the Dragons next year, hes been injured most of the year after a motor bike accident, somehow got selected for NSW residents at State of O 2 and was man of the match, hes under everyones radar now and might not cost too much.If I was in charge at the Roosters we would keep him, hes the next best Fb behind Mini, he surely wants to get back in first grade, local Coogee boy too I think

Burt's not off-contract but a lot of Eels fans don't have much time for him this year.

I still think he goes alright, but he doesn't return the ball like Hunt, Slater, Gidley or Stewart ... actually no one returns kicks like those guys, which is why they are genuine stars.

Burt is more in the Hodgson mold (but not quite as good obviously) ... he can play a bit like another halfback in attacking plays. He's also a damn fine support player and goal kicker.

If the Eels did try to dump him, I think he'd be a fine purchase for the Bunnies. Not a super star, but a very solid player.

I asked the same question a couple of months ago and didn't get too much feedback. I haven't seen Wara play, but he must be doing something right given how well the Bears are going.
