Ryeese Wesser is available and penrith will pay half his wage meaning you get him for $160k. He is contracted for next year to penrith but will get a release and half his contract paid for next year

Wesser would be worth considering at half price, but only for one or two seasons (he's almost 30).

He'd probably make more money heading overseas if Penrith don't want him, but if he wanted to stay I'd give him a run if I was Richo (plus Shane has a soft spot for those Panthers).

Penrith are offering to pay 30% of Wessers contract so he would cost about $220k for next year.

He has all the attributes that Richo looks for -

No doubt Richo will pick him up and the Bears will have him for 2/3rds of next season. That'll be 1.2 mill worth of cap playing for the Bears next year!
