Bohemian Rhapsody!!! queen never did it live, but the middle part of this song was just perfect!!!
also loved the fact that the show was rewritten for the aussie audiences!!!!

You ones are SO lucky you have the opportunity to see it. I saw it four times while it was running here in Perth - and I couldn't get enough. I last saw it in June - and I still have withdrawl!

I miss it!
I reckon it'd be even better in Sydney. I think I read somewhere (during it's Perth run) that the Burswood Theatre was the smallest venue 'WWRY' has played on anywhere in the world.

It changed slightly a couple of times while it was over here - I can't imagine what it's evolved into now!

The Aussie 'WWRY' moves from Sydney to Tokyo in a few weeks time. I think it then goes to Auckland. I hope it comes around again! I can't see that happening, so I guess I'll just have to wait until the WWRY sequel hits Perth!

To everyone who has NOT seen 'We Will Rock You' yet, SEE IT. You will not come away disappointed. "We Will Rock You: it's not just a title - it's a promise!"

I've thought about it... but it's the potential for audience participation that puts me off. Nothing worse than people who should know better "dancing in the aisles" and "clapping like maniacs", etc :)

well, the theatre doesnt really have all that much room for dancing, but their was a fair amount of clapping involved, not all that much more than any other musical ive been to...

I thought it was pretty ordinary myself.

It wasn't professional enough from a choreography point of view, and the storyline was juvenile and stale at best.

If this is the best that musical theatre can offer then you can keep it.

yea it wasnt the most professional, but it wasnt supposed to be. the musical was about the music and it wasnt taking itself too seriously. the type of humour used shows that. as a ben elton fan, this is the kind of humour i was expecting and got provided with relentlessly

Some of you ones here may not want it, so you can send it back here to Perth if you like!

A HUGE shame it's finishing this Sunday. If only it could've hung around for another few months - I might be in NSW around June.

Bugger.

Sydney was lucky to get it... it was originally just going to be in Melbourne.

Isn't it going on a capital cities tour?

It started in Melbourne, went to Perth (Ben Elton wanted to start it here in Perth - since he spends half his year here), then went to Brisbane, now it's in Sydney.

From there, it's off to Tokyo, then New Zealand somewhere (Auckland?). After that, I have no idea.

Half of the cast (maybe more) are leaving at the end of the Sydney run this weekend.

Good luck to 'em with whatever they decide to do next. I look forward to seeing them in the We Will Rock You sequel in a couple of years! ;-)
