If he wants to be a first grade standard half he needs to work on his acceleration and speed. Which (even though people have said can't be) can be coached... Apparently, he stays back from training with Pensisini & works hard on his game maybe this off season send him them to sprint camp!
And if he works on his deficiencies and becomes a first grader, that's great for us to have a quality backup. Until then he should not be there

Any half decent halfback runs the ball to the advantage line & engages the defense. It draws the defense in and frees up the support.

Moses prances sideways and dumps off passes to easy targets. He plays in a dinner suit and offers nothing to your attack.

surely you see that😱
You’ll find plenty of halfbacks struggle against Penrith’s defence. The key is wearing them down. That’s when their line speed drops off and players like Moses can start to run.

Fair call. I’d also have Nrown on the bench to sure up the middle. Either way, that should have been our 17 tonight.

Yep, NBrown could have come on today with 10 to go give Paulo that rest. I see what BA is doing last week Reg played the whole half and Paulo had a break then Reg went off Paulo came on. Reg got a short break came back on in the second half. Did the opposite today.

Nothing against JA he has a good footy head but he does need to work on his pace. If he had a good turn of foot, he would be very hard to defend against. He just is not someone that should take up a bench spot.

Cartwright has hardly been given game time all year, what has he done when he has played that has made him a massive disappointment? I suspect he's being told to play like Makatoa does when he comes on, or he won't get another game.

I suspect being told to play as unnaturally as he is foe the odd game here and there has shattered any confidence he had too
It’s not about his attack, it’s his defence. That’s where ‘chase the collision’ needs to happen.

He’s going to be undercooked as well having barely played this year. Huge misfire. He should have been getting game time once we knew he wasn’t leaving.

Just got home from the game. Look Penrith we’re simply too good. Their line speed is incredible and Waqa was even worse in person, geez.

I left with 10min to go, I was seated in front of a huge fat Kiwi Penrith chick who commentated like a f**king expert every f**king play. Was calling every Panthers player by their nicknames etc and after 60minutes I was ready I snap (or be snapped).

Side note - f**k me some Panthers fans are filthy.

Finally come around.

That's what most of us frustrated fans have been saying since round 1.

He hasn't been on the field for long enough this season in situations where it matters for anyone to make a qualified statement on his defence.
