ummmmm I’m not sure but I’ll have a stab in the dark. He thinks his son is a first grader and he clearly isn’t. He’s given a bench spot to his son at the expense of other established first graders. Not sure what he’s basing his decisions on. JA has not much talent, is slow, has an erratic kicking game and average defender. I clearly made the point yesterday with the rain, it’ll be a wet heavy track. We’d need another forward on the bench. Yet we persisted with Jakey boy. In the early exchanges yesterday, it was obvious we were in for a huge battle in the middle. Wouldn’t it if been great if we had brown as an option,
To try and nullify the panthers pack.

Another With NFI no talent 🤣you have the biggest hard on for JA it's ridiculous now.

Makatoa played for 5 minutes Yesterday why not play Brown instead of him...

As I've said in the past I'm no Arthur fan either and personally wouldn't include him in the squad.

However, I have no doubt that if he had a different last name there wouldn't be as much focus on him. Its all some merkins on here post about FFS.
If he had a different last name he wouldn't be in first grade either. Works both ways, merkin.

We're going to have to have someone on the bench to play at least 15 minutes a week with Hodgson in the team. Hodgson hasn't played 80 minutes for quite some time, that is unlikely to change given his age next year.
Don't you worry, BA will get 80 minutes out of him.

So you think Sam Walker would be near the NRL if it wasn't for his last name?

Cooper Johns as well.

Of course he would not be near first grade if it wasn't for his last name.

You shouldn't be so certain of that, merkin.

Particularly when your shit list thread strongly suggests that BA is more than capable of picking and sticking with shit players who don't go by the name of Arthur.

I'd prefer someone other than JA but it doesn't really matter if you've got butter fingers Blake dropping the spud every 5 minutes. I could have killed that merkin last night.

waqa had the worst game of his life. Ja is just the worst player I’ve ever seen in grade. Not defending either but many merkins here have been praising waqa recently.

It’s kind of useless to compare just the numbers since a lot of the Panthers runs were made against a retreating defence when they had loads of possession. When the possession was even and it was a forwards battle we were actually on top. In comparison alot of the runs our forwards made were coming out of trouble against a rushing defensive line. Far more energy consuming. I was trying to illustrate the fact that a huge proportion of Panthers yardage comes from their backs whereas we are forward reliant so we don’t have as much energy to expend in defence.
I agree they have a better squad than ours, especially in the outside backs. We just don't get enough from ours. Also, as good as our pack is with the ball, Penrith's pack is significantly better in defence. And with their outside backs their forwards don't need to be great at running the ball.
