Mate I bagged those 3 selections relentlessly, maybe Jake cops it worse but have we ever seen since an average young footballer get such a feee ride??? Someone said he’s played more games of first grade at 19 than Jarryd Hayne. If true that’s said and laughable.
I'm not suggesting he should get a free ride...just pointing out he has copped it worse than anyone. Glad you agree!

Im not sure we learned much last night to have an effect next week.
We continue to select a poor bench, we then are happy to use our bench to minimum effect.
We knew Jake simply is not an option under any circumstances. This alone could end BAs tenure.
We knew Waqa and Sivo would be targeted and provide brain farts yet we refused to pressure the kicker or provide effective protection for our wingers under the high ball. We are the worst team in the comp in these instances.
I called for Russells inclusion this week but sadly his hip drop tackle on Docker Clay will have him rubbed out till next year.
BA has not developed forwards to provide strong back up for Reg and Junior. Trust is a two way street.
BA has had a very lucky run with injurys this year so selections and development is totally on him.
Hopefully I get tickets to this weeks game cause its what I do. Cant say Im too confident much will change though.
Go Parra.
Nice post and that’s thing … most likely BA will select the same team and same bench and I know we are dumb fans but seriously blind Freddy can see we have better options not being selected and at this point in the season against the best teams that can be the difference. It’s dam frustrating because we are a good team with chance of winning the whole bloody thing but feels like we are not putting our best foot forward

I would expect
- Russell is being groomed as the Opacic replacement for next year ... and there is Dunster
- Hopgood will be a middle ... but yes he is not a big middle
- Matto might potentially move back to an edge .... I don't know if thats a good thing, he has gone ok in the middle
- agree we need to find a big middle (or 2) .... I think its clear we tried Tapau and Klemmer
Again, if we are a big club, why are we targeting maybes. The last rep-player we signed was Fergo and we supposedly have moved higher up the ladder of favourable destinations.

With the highest attendances, highest memberships, decent sponsorships, class homeground, upgraded training facilities and then we target retreads, doesn’t speak to the admin being on top does it.

Look Im going to say this once and then leave you to your day.

I love my team and support them my way, just as you support them your way.

Personally, I don’t take losses well. I’m down today and yet some people are clearly different. Some are in fact quite joyous. Each to their own.

The game panned out how most people expected. They are a very good defensive team and with the ball, their backs ruck it up well, their forwards do the same and they have an exceptional kicking game. Hence why they are the best and have been for three years.

I said earlier in the week that we would lose, so I am not surprised at all.
Nice post and genuine
But do you really think fans are joyous ? That’s a silly thing to say … I’d say they just as disappointed as you and they are frustrated because we are a chance at finally breaking the hoodoo but with some questionable decisions on selections and game plan it feels like BA is not putting us in the best possible position to succeed …. Others won’t see it that way but there’s plenty who do

...thats a questionable assumption imo and goes to the heart of why the criticism is greater because of his surname.

It's also cause 95% of sides do not carry a half-back on the bench. It's weird to have one unless he is that good you can't leave him out. Sure different if he was a utility and could play multiple positions.

Anyhows he isn't why we lost. We lost case we played garbage tactics. 5 step shuffle bash n barge shit wasn't going to cut it.
We had our chance to go out and play carefree footy but chose safety first. That's not getting you a win against this ferocious side.

JFH tore our pack a new asshol.

I dont think we are at the same level as the Roosters or Melbourne or probably still Souths .... they have connections and make things happen that we cant.

I think its an unfortunate fact of NRL life that we cant compare ourselves to a club like the Roosters. They play by a different set of rules.

Hayne played 16 in 2006 and 25 in 2007 games he debut as an 18 year old.

Not sure if JA is anywhere near those games.

Our issue isn't signings it's our juniors or lack of.
We've produced one good kid in the last 3yrs. Penisini.
That's not good enough.

you seem to be suggesting that JA is a hooker option ..... no one legitimately thinks he is a #9 replacing the backup hooker(s) we have ... he just happens to be the person who will play dummy half for spot minutes ..... some others may have said he can fill hooker .... so I am assuming you are having a joke at their expense

go back and read the comments where posters said he could become a genuine 9. Go and flame them, not me. He’s easily the worst player I’ve seen in years. Not even a NSW cup player.

Would still have Waqa in the side. Yes he was horrible last night but he can provide good go forward, has pace and energy.
BUT we need to be racing out from marker to put pressure on the kicker.
Watch the Storm tonight. They will race hard from marker to try and pressure the kicker every set. It's those 1% ers that is part of the Storm DNA.
I saw Papalii try it last night and literally stopped. It was a massive WTF moment.
We need a big game from him next week as he has been well below par recently.
I really think 2 changes can help the balance and bench rotation. Nrown and Carty.
We have enough coverage in Nuikore Carty and Matto to cover any injuries.
We don't burn out our big middles by making them play more minutes than they should. This is the fatigue factor.
Papalii is one who has been guilty of it many occasions this year as he starts missing tackles and arm grabbing.
Others start dishing up less effective hitups.
It's very akin to any job you do be it in corporate, trade etc. The more hours u do in the day the less productive you are
