Yes, we used our edge forwards a lot in 2017. However we didn’t have much of a threat in the middle with our forwards, they were fairly “skill-less”.

Paulo / Evans / Brown are all threats with ball, either with an offload / pass.

Even Alvaro has got a few offloads away too.
Well we did have Brown in 2017, but he was our only attacking threat. The proof was he played 80 minutes every week and made 20+ runs. That obviously hurt his ability to work hard enough in defence. Playing fewer minutes he's now a lot busier while he's on the field.

Adding Paulo has really transformed our pack. Evans has stepped up too. Two of our middles from the 2017 finals are now playing finals footy for Wenty.

We have no pressure. Storm have all the pressure. An almost perfect season and imagine going out with 2 home losses in finals. But I am sure they can handle it.
The key to winning is to stop the game becoming a plan for them. Make them think for self. They like it to roll on and follow Bellamys plan and that is why we need to break their rhythm and play some less structured rugby league. As long as they dont blow us out in the first 20 it will become a 50/50.
Need to upset Cam Smith. Storm are beatable. Manly and Raiders have done it recently down there. Our defense has been very good the last few months also.
Big talk ahead but I give us some hope. We have a lot of fire

AMD a lot of players who have fire in belly.

Fergo,Gutho,MJ,Taka,Sivo,Blake,Brown,Manu,Evan's,Mahoney all have some aggression and mongrel in their game.
And of late so has Tepai.... No reason we can't hurt them. They also had a tough game last week. We did not. It was almost a week off or training run.

If you look at storms last few games against the top 6 sides (since round 19 their form hasn’t been great).

Canberra have beaten them twice, Manly once. They just beat Souths, 3 tries to 4, however Souths form hasn’t been great.

They did however smash Manly the 2nd time, but they lose did Tom T in the first 10 or so.

Also in the last 6 or so rounds they had fairly average wins against titans (24 to 8) and Cowboys (24 to 16). However they did smash broncos 40 to 4.
