I was thinking a time machine like Doc Brown & Marty McFly so we can fast forward 30 years to GF day 2053 when Parramatta break a year 67 premiership drought.

Jake Arthur will have taken over as coach from Brad by then & with his GF experience from last year learning from the mistakes his father made will get the lads on a team bus together and we will beat Chinboy junior in the GF.
Excellent.....I might still be alive then

This corresponding day last year we were pumped and excited with Parra up in Townsville. Ready to play for a place in a GF.

12 months later we have sit through and watch Smug v Scum the last 2 teams who have beaten us in a GF looking to get into another.

It just makes you feel sick and jealous tbh.

I think Smug win between 10-20 pts.

I don't recall a semi final ever where the Scum are basically given no hope.

If it looks like its game over early on i might have to switch over to ping pong in Melbourne so i can fall asleep.

the most beautiful part in all this is that there's a loser at the end of it.

Storm will be tough. I can't stand them. Cheated us from a premiership and unsure how any Eels fan couldn't have them as their most hated side.

I still hate them the scum

I am just sick of Smug winning atm. Even though i think they will win pretty easily.

Plus i would still like our 1980's side to be the last team to have won a 3-peat unless we do it all over again.

I have seen alot of Parra games in a lot of places, but that one was probably up there with the trip my 13 year old self made to the SCG in Sept 1981.

Yep I will say that's the toughest Parramatta victory I have seen in 25 seasons of following them.

They guts it out like not many Parramatta teams before them.

We may have the lost the GF but you can't take away that special win in Townsville.

The night up there must have been amazing.

I'm starting to give a shit about tonight's game now... mainly because there is nothing else at all on TV tonight!

Though I understand kids at schools were offered free tickets via the web on Wed or Thu, as actual sales mustn't have reached anticipated levels....

As much as it pains me to say this, I'll be hoping Melbourne win tonight.
I really do not want to see Penrith have a chance at a 3-peat.
As much as I want the Warriors to win tomorrow, if Penrith win tonight, I hope the Broncos win tomorrow because I don't think the Warriors could beat the Panthers, and the Broncos might.

Besides the Warriors, what a shit-list of teams we have left to cheer for.

Yeah i agree Suity.

Plus the Penrith fans have become as arrogant as the players with the success.

I assume Parra fans weren't this arrogant in 1983 after winning 3 in a row.

They are a Sydney club and haven't cheated us out of a title. Unsure how anyone could support the scum

There was no internet back then.
Everyone just enjoyed the success.

I've given my reasons as to why I can't support the smug.
Tbh, don't get me wrong, I actually despise both teams.
I actually want the Warriors to beat the Storm next week.
Ain't gonna happen I know.
