Next question after today is.....can they actually make the finals from here? Can they string together wins now like it's business as usual?

Injuries or lack thereof will probably be a big factor in that. Also, how well can they travel and play in hostile environments. The win today, there was a clear emotional surge due to the home crowd, that pushed them beyond the pain/fatigue barrier, so how will they cope when the crowd is against them and they're behind in a game.
Potentially they can

but it’s a long season and their squad depth is thin I expect them to just miss out

playing like that every game is hard

Real dragons 2009 to 2010 where they destroyed teams with their defence

I’m not, I’ll be cheering them on every game for purely selfish reasons.
I dont think they were the best decision, firehawks would have done a better job at being brisbane2 imo. but now they Are in I hope they do well as it will speed up club 18 if they are competitive.

that you’re too dumb to understand this doesn’t surprise me.
Broncos opening game 14k
Dolphins opening game 32k

and you could tell it was all dolphins fans in their red and yellow

and they were all cheering

Would be interesting to find out the breakdown of all the addresses of the dolphins fans at Suncorp today.

That's definitely what I'm picking up on watching this team. They are brutal on defense, really hit hard and also mongrels in the process of wrestling a player down, bit of taunting too. They want to beat you up every game....loving it. The Roosters had a lot of ball in the Dolphins half and couldn't put them away. Like that preseason game vs Cowboys when they tied, Cowboys had like 70% possession. Being a stifling bruising defensive team is the brand Bennett's putting in. Still a way to go before they reach that ceiling of completely shutting a team down from start to finish. Work in progress.

Good to hear also how the news reports and commentators during the game often referred to them as "Redcliffe Dolphins" and even things like "first QLD club to progress to the NRL" when apparently "the Dolphins" as a business set up is a subsidiary of Redcliffe Dolphins.

The jersey design and colours are growing on me. I think it's massive mistake playing games at Dolphin Oval.
For me.....i wouldnt say grown on me, still dont like it, but not so hateful as i was before.

Would still prefer something like.... Jersey (all red, white numbers, touch of gold here and there).....Shorts (all gold, thixk red stripe, thin white stripe).....Socks (all red with gold/white stripe at top).

It's not that i hate the colors but the jersey design itself, the bottom half thing.

They ought to play all their home games at Suncorp, Brisbane central. Their training facilities/headquarters can be Redcliffe, and they can even officially call themselves Redcliffe or Moreton Bay Dolphins but still should be playing their games in Brisbane central, representing a second Brisbane team, collecting fans along the way who didn't support Redcliffe in the QLD comp.

The whole idea of the 2nd team in Brisbane was to have a game at Suncorp every week.

I know today was their highly anticipated season opener and they got around that 30k figure, maybe if they aren't going so well they don't get even half of that figure? Who knows really.

I actually expected it to be near sold out.

Milton station was packed at the end of the game. A 9 car carriage was full heading to the city/Redcliffe as was the 9 carriage train heading west to Springfield. The Ippy train on a different line from Darra would’ve been full too as there were a few left on the platform when the Springfield train departed
