Well well well

Benji Marshall and Brett Hodgson are expected back next week. To put it into perspective the Tigers have been without their Thurston and Bowen for 8 weeks and without their Thurston for 12. A lot of people forget the tigers have been without 2 of their 3 playmakers for a massive chunk of this season. Brisbane have lost their one and most people have written them off. The tigers are doing very well to be sitting where they are at the mo given that these 2 are coming back and (including this week) play 5 of their last 7 at home.

I think if you had asked any Tigers fan the question `would you take 6th, 2 pts of 4th spot and a home final in week 19' when Benji was taken off against Melbourne we'd have bitten your hand off. I remember being sat at Bluetongue and thinking `well that's this year f**ked'.

The melbourne cup ain't won when they run past the judges the first time. Bris I think are gone. Canterbury will struggle without Mason and O'Meley. Titans in all sorts with injuries. Ditto Cronulla. It's melbourne then daylight and the only side to belt Melbourne this year has been ???

Yeah belted. By an entire point. After Melbourne had a thousand in origin

He misread "belt" as "beat." Careful being obnoxious - otherwise some people may not wait until you are proven wrong to start abusing you for the stupidity of your post!

Long road to top form for either Hodgo or Marshall.

just glad we are still travelling ok to have dispelled the myth that we cannot win without Benji

Well it's nicer than one of them going down with a cruciate in Round 18 I suppose

Thats football.
I dont want the Broncos to have pity put on them...unlike you and how you are going on about the Tigers.

There really hasnt been much of a discernible difference to the way we were playing before they were injured to the way weve recently been playing....very up and down, inconsistent yet good in patches...I feel it will take them both some time to get anywhere near top form, hopefully thats around semis time and we're there.

Tigers will probably finish 3rd if they can keep these 2 on the field, to be fair though Benji was in pretty average form before his injury.

Guess who scored both of their tries off of kicks that night?

One chance now ;-)

Manly had 4 back from origin as well. Benji is not the player he was and Hodgson's a long way from top form. Manly spanked them last week, without King and lost Bell early. Tigers to just sneak into the 8 bundled out week 1.

Ivan Cleary must be rubbing his hands with glee at the chance to run Wiki and Price at Benji all game.

Tbh I thought Marshall was running into some pretty good form before the injury. Hopefully he'll last the season out. Not confident though.

They're not playing this week. There's a chance they may be back next week but I haven't heard any confirmations.

The Tigers are no hope of winning the competition. Not with their hot potato style of football. They've suffered 3 30+ point losses to the top teams. Its all well and good touching up nuffies like Penrith and St.George but when the finals come the tigers will be well and truly tamed.

When this was said is 2005 we won the comp...so why would anyone in their right mind go right on and say it again?
