morris is worse at hooker then 5/8. at 5/8 at least he can be cut out and do minimal damage to our attack. at hooker when he doesnt get caught for throwing it forward he gives it them a meter away from the defence. ayshford was actually great today, keep him there and piss this merkin off forever

what was the point of playing lawrence? we constantly attacked the right where hanbur and fu*king ryan were. lawrence scored a double against the storm last time and this time he sees no ball. may aswell have not played him.

halatau was as useless as always, i know why he never passes it now after seeing him put it in row 7 on the first tackle after neilson got sent off.

anyways no use complaining. sure enough the same sh*t will be said after the match by sheens:

* the effort was there, just lacked execution
* when you drop that much ball its hard to win games, we'll work on it inbetween hospital visits this week
* ill be speaking to robert finch during the week
* it wasnt a must win game, we can still mathematically make the finals
* the 20s had a good win today, ill be looking at some of them for next week
* john morris was great and has been resigned for 4 years

then the same sh*t will be named on tuesday.

Every time Morris threw it to Marshall from dummy half Benji had to take a Gary Ablett special just to catch it, FFS.

His service from dummy half is terrible.

I use to stick up for Halatau but after today im converted. He seemed to miss more tackles than Benji has his whole career. Payne can f*ck off too and we shouldve let Payten go when he requested to leave. You can tell he just does not want to be there.

When Laurie bombed that open try today I had a feeling that is what would sum up the rest of the match. I know our team is severely depleted with injuries and Farah on Origin duty was a blow for today but today was another case of missed opportunities.

The team is in need of restructuring badly. There are players that really need to be tapped on the shoulder and be kindly shown the door out of the club...

Knowing our recruitment history, we'll probably "further enhance" the team's quality with more ex-Parra players...

What was this match a classic example of? Incompetent skill sets. This crap should have been no brainer stuff for NRL standard players- terrible completion rates- dropped balls, sh*t passes, missed tackles. Blame the players as much as they deserve, but if Teflon accepts that standard without key changes he should be got rid off as it would seem the players have stopped listening to him.

In the 13 man main squad I considered the following:

Key players for error- Halatau & Morris.

Players who didnt shoulder the load- Gibbs & Payten. I didnt see Payne do anything in the match- did he play?

Its getting embarrassing- I dont mind loosing as long as they play well. When they play stupidly and demonstrate a lack of basic skills- then I get angry. But whats the point? Teflon will do nothing.

When those 4 or 5 players are dropped then I just may consider he is serious. Its not as though Halatau, Morris, Payten, Gibbs & Payne are new players brought up from lower grades to fill in. That I can accept error and mistakes for, but these clowns have been Teflon Tim's NRL grade regulars for 3+ seasons.

I thought Hanbury and Ryan played Okay. Lawrence was quiet, but he didnt see much ball and Tuiaki wasnt very damaging. Benji was good. Morris was OKAY, but definately not first grade standard. Our forwards were attrocious. I WONDER if there will be any changes....OH YES THERE WILL BE, MORRIS BACK TO FIVE EIGHTH AND FARAH INTO HOOKER

I think a loss for us was Ben Reynolds. He was a decent half, good kick a goal and lead a team. Similar to Josh Lewis, why Teflon dosnt play Lewis at Half and Marshall Five Eighth will puzzle the smartest of people.

Payten - He is useless in attack and while he may make some copybook low down tackles in defence, as any Melbourne player will attest, it's far more effective to wrestle (legally) the guy onto his back. The traditional style of tackling only results in a quick play-the-ball.

Halatau - He has one career offload, which set up a Whatuira against Manly in 2005 at Leichhardt. The most one dimensional player in the history of NRL. At least Martin Lang could tacklein addition to his customary kamikaze hitups.

Morris - defensively comes up with a lot of crucial saves, however, stifles the attack in whichever position he plays. I honestly think that we should use him at prop.

Payne - He has never been a damaging runner, however recently he's compensated with quick play the balls and good angles to create momentum. Unfortunately, today was back to the days of Payne.

Gibbs - You wonder whether he is embarrassed by his pitiful returns each week - 9 runs for 60 metres, 6 runs for 38, 8 runs for 46 etc... He cracks the 100 less frequently than Mark Taylor during a run of poor form. Getting to 50m is an achievement for Gibbs.

Tuiaki and Ryan come up with countless brainless plays between them.

You feel sorry for the few talented players in the squad.

Ellis was the only forward showing any real starch out there, he's a great addition for our squad, but had precisely zero effort accompaning him from his fellow forwards.

In the backs, Ayshford was a clear standout for mine, still a bit raw, but showed a bit of vision and was good in defence too. Lawrence may as well have been in row 13 for all it mattered, whats the point if you're not going to give him the ball. A game we clearly could've won let down by performances that would get a player dropped in other clubs.

Ludicrous game. You can all point fingers, but the worst part of the game was the need to score on every set. In the second half there was no concept of getting into an arm wrestle and winning the battle for territory, it's like it wasn't even on the radar of the players. Sorely missed Farah in this respect.

As for Marshall, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Fantastic first half and then he absolutely lost the plot in the second half. The amount of early kicks were just infuriating. Especially when nearly everyone was duffed in the second half.
