We could go and win the next 8 from 8 but it isnt just going to happen unless he actually takes steps to try make it happen. Does this genious think the same average players he selects will turn it around all of a sudden ?

Let me guess- the positive spin is there to maintain the team morale and keep their spirits up whilst Teflon and Simmons work fevourishly behind te scenes to get lemonade out of lemons.........

Reality- same old, same old- fringe players dropped, skills factor declining- missed tackles / dropped ball / bad kicks, same dogged persistance with his favourite players in the demented belief they can turn it around.

It's very harsh blaming Laurie for the loss.

He's not our playmaker. he's a raw backrower, the fact he was having a f**king go puts him way ahead of others in the side.

I'd take Laurie's worst over Ben Te'o any f**king day.

How about Sheens blaming Halatau for that shocking pass at the end that butchered a try? I feel sorry for Laurie but he fits the pattern of Sheens behaviour- the favourites never get blamed and dropped. The fringe players always get blame shoved their way.

I like the way he works in Laurie's penalty for the Cronk chargedown- I dont think that was avoidable, Laurie was trying to put pressure on the kicker- it is an unfortunate thing but the way the rules are now if the kicker can get the ball away just that split second before the tackle / interference the attacking player is deemed as interfering with the kicker and penalised. Does Teflon not want Laurie (and the others) to have a go at pressuring the kicker? Yep Laurie made mistakes but to include that one in his reasoning is a bit silly.

Mind you - I have long since lost hope for some commonsense to come from that idiots mouth.

Although Laurie's dropped ball was criminal, where were our backs, they should be backing up these breaks, not a f***ing front rower.

I wanted the Teflon gone 2 years ago and I copped a bagging everytime I criticised the almighty one on the Tigers forum. How things have changed in that regard. I'd say the majority of supporters are calling for his head. Nothing has changed from 2 years ago. Still the same tactics and selections. There's no player improvements. He isn't able to get the best out players. Still the same excuses.

Go away now you flea and leave with whatever dignity you have left. You have lost respect of your players and fans.

Its funny that all the seemingly die hard fans want Sheens gone and I now find myself agreeing with people on here I never thought I would. I too wanted him gone 2 years ago. Our recruitment and retention has been a joke and we seem to play the one out stuff all too often. We are certainly not the entertaining football team that most think we are.
The fact we are where we are on the table is not surprising to me at all. If a spoon this year is what it takes to bring change I couldn't care less if we get it.

One thing that needs to be said in the whole Daine Laurie cost us the game thing . . . . It apparently started raining, according to the Fox call, only a few minutes before.
So the ball was at it's slipperiest. It still killed me to watch him kill it !!
But, he has done far more good than bad for the team. Far more.
When he fulfils his potential, hopefully we will look back at this and laugh. Or at least chuckle.

And as someone mentioned . .his runs lately have been far less damaging because he seems to be getting the ball flat-footed. The rampaging lunatic seems to have been doped down.

Give him time

Pretty safe to say Halatau will not pay any price for his pathetic performance. I'd be irate if I were Laurie or any of the irregulars that regularly get the blame..... Halatau is being used as an advertising piece by WT:

WHERE WERE YOU - DENE HALATAU?

Monday, June 22, 2009
Wests Tigers utility Dene Halatau will never forget the preliminary final victory over St George Illawarra in 2005.
It was one of Halatau’s finest moments in the Wests Tigers jersey, scoring a try under the posts and being named man-of-the-match as he helped the team move into the Grand Final.
Dene recalls the memories of the night now on WTV and encourages supporters to again rally behind the team this Friday night.
Wests Tigers is also asking members and supporters “Where were you?”. So tell us your stories about the match.
Several Wests Tigers Members and supporters, plus other prominent rugby league figures have filmed special WTV episodes that will be appearing all week on WTV.
Gates open at 3:45pm, with an Arrive Alive Cup match between Westfields Sports High and Hunter Sports High kicking off at 3:50pm. The NRL match between Wests Tigers and the St George Illawarra Dragons kicks off at 7:30.pm

It will be pathetic and embarrassing if they market this game on Friday Night around the 2005 Preliminary Final. Dead set Saints fans will be laughing at us and rightly so. It is pathetic because we have rested on our laurels and done nothing but failure the last 4 seasons. A couple of months ago they released a book about the 2005 GF and all the highlights.

Other clubs like Canterbury, Cows and Roosters, they don't accept failure. They don't go stale and I suspect they don't keep harping on about glories of 4 years ago with the same players and coaches that are now a complete waste of space.

i think the reason why great daine isn't running on to the ball as much is it's easier for him to catch the ball if he isn't running onto the ball as quickly. hands like feet. i wouldnt be surprised if sheens drops him this week but id like to see him named on the bench. give him a chance to redeem himself
