Opinion u don't agree with is not a troll. In fact, it's almost always fact
No, posting inflammatory comments to get a response is trolling.
so let’s pretend for a second you werent trolling And I’ll give you the opportunity to explain yourself.
Why do you think Perths chances are Over? Do you think perth had a good chance when McGowan was in office? Do you think the perth bids only chances were based on McGowan being premier? Do you think the remaining WA cabinet won’t support a perth bid? Why would that be?

Brisbane 3 will grow TV rights, ratings, sponsorship, juniors. Perth will grow money NRL needs to sink into new club
Meanwhile the AFL has added $1B to their TV revenue by having a team in Western Sydney and the Gold Coast (You know, those heartlands that supply all the juniors and sponsorship to the AFL). They are using a lot of that to fund grass roots Aussie Rules in NRL heartlands whilst the NRL jump at shadows and put "expansion teams" in NRL heartlands, for the most part getting people who already follow the game to just change the team they support (Dont try and tell me all the Dolphins supporters are new to the game)
Perth gives the NRL an extra timeslot to sell to the broadcasters, there is a huge expat community of Kiwi and eastern staters over here to the point where the northern parts of the state (Mining areas) are actually more NRL than AFL. There's an actual competition structure in Perth complete with Junior leagues, all this without an NRL team. Add to this the massive mining, oil and gas industries in the state, with the right approach its a no brainer.

Afl got paid for 9th game. Location was irrelevant. Stupidly. Afl has sunk that money into pits in GC & gws. A survey showed less than 1% of surrounding district are engaged with gws as fans or participants. This is not approach NRL should follow.

Lots of people with too much money spend it "stupidly", That's the luxury you get with money

The better question is how did they get to that point financially to begin with to be able to throw it at money pits (aka long term investments)

They added 9th game. Better uses for that money than flushing down toilet

Like what? Theyre obviously not lacking in funds for grassroots, their game seems to be well funded in every state.

If you got money to waste why not waste it

By your logic we would get the same money from the 9th game and could afford to "waste it" on perth, nz 2 or Adelaide? Without any detriment to grassroots or any other area of the game?

100%. Tbh I’ve not seen this argument made so succinctly before. Too much emotional drivel usually.

Which they wouldn't be doing by going to Perth. Keep up

The fumblers have enough cash to pay off the complainants in the hawthorn racism investigation. Given the severity of the complaints and the status of the accused it must have cost an absolute fortune. I’m just glad that our code for all its faults isn’t as appalling in its culture and administration as these low life’s.

Sorry to disappoint you pippen but looks like our next Premier is just as big, if not bigger, RL fan as McGowan.

Roger Cook is patron of the Willagee Bears and his brother played in WARL for Mosnamn/Cottesloe and represented WA RL at State level.
Fingers crossed he gets announced this week and pushes on with our bid support.
