That is a good article but there are often positive signs and we've been crap for years. As much as it sounds like BS I think we need to develop our own identity.

Benji has to somehow get a team on the park who know how to win games and play their own style. He needs to pick the right players.

I don't have much confidence in Benji however one thing I like is that he does seem to be focusing on juniors and the club has moved to get rid of the underperforming higher paid players that we have.

The problem for next year is that we don't have a good pack. Can Benji somehow pick a team and get them to play as a good first grade pack from the cattle that we have ? If so I think we'll have some class to win games. Luai, Galvin, Latu Fainu, Api and Bula should be able to get us points.

I think/hope that there are some signings to come, that will help solve some of our problems.
We need players who are willing to do what ever is required to get success.
Until that happens, we will never improve.
It’s always next year , but I believe who we have coming and the young blokes we have are part way there.

All official, well done Benny.
NRL Hall of Fame Inductee 118
I don't like Benny in the media but gee I loved watching him play, especially at Leichhardt Oval.
He revolutionised the hooking role.
A cheeky bugger and like Blocker said tonight..."Everyone knew what he was about to do but they couldn't stop him"

Elias played 235 matches at Balmain between 1982 and 1994, helping the Tigers to consecutive Grand Finals in 1988 and 1989. He also played 19 State of Origin games for NSW and six appearances for Australia.

Benji Marshall, with extraordinary talent and toughness to come back from injuries, led Wests Tigers to their first ever Premiership in 2005 during a 346-game career, as well as New Zealand to World Cup glory in 2008.

Well done Benji

Not wanting to start a Tigers / Maggie's dustup at all but I can't help but notice that for most of WT time as a club Wests have been in control ....financially ( luckily) and at board level yet apart from Tommy's interest in the club and John Dorahy joining the board I really cannot remember another ex Wests player getting involved or showing any public support. For better or for worse ex Balmain players and various identities pop up around the club pretty regularly...not so old Maggie's....quite odd
