I come from the Balmain side and I support the joint venture. I will support the NRL team and these morons on the Balmain board should just STFU.

It's not just the morons on the Balmain side....it's all the partisan "Old club" identities on the board and agitating around the edges...it's not Balmain or Wests anymore...how long will it take for them to realise that the majority of younger (aka THE FUTURE) Wests Tigers supporters ( and growing) DO NOT GIVE A FLYING f**k ABOUT WESTS OR BALMAIN!....just as they don't give a f**k about most anything else nostalgic from their parents last century. A 35 year old father now was 10 years old when WT was formed....I wish these dinosaurs would wake up and finally understand that !

Wests Ashfield Leagues commissioned a report into the Wests Tigers and instead working with the board and the executive to implement its findings, they used it as an excuse to sack the board, the chair and the CEO. A new board and executive is installed with WAL claiming that they are there to implement the findings of the report and fix the governance and admin issues raised. The new board takes no action on that front. No independent directors appointed, no vetting process put in place, no sign of any reform whatsoever.

No wonder Gary Leo is upset.

Let's be honest neither team is in the NRL anymore. There is a Wests Tigers team in the NRL. They get plenty of support in the inner west and they are actually based there. I drive past the facilities regularly. The fans consistently turn up to Leichardt. We also play out of Lidcombe in the lower grades.

I don't want to take anything away from Campbelltown. The south-west are a huge part of this team. I would even be happy with all games being at Campbelltown but I don't think that is the right decision.

Let's be honest neither team is in the NRL anymore. There is a Wests Tigers team in the NRL. They get plenty of support in the inner west and they are actually based there. I drive past the facilities regularly. The fans consistently turn up to Leichardt. We also play out of Lidcombe in the lower grades.

I don't want to take anything away from Campbelltown. The south-west are a huge part of this team. I would even be happy with all games being at Campbelltown but I don't think that is the right decision.

I could relate to that. I'd even support them if they relocated to the central coast or interstate, as long as the name stayed the same and the majority of the players relocated to help maintain our identity. Eventually time would heal.
Of course being a Balmain boy I'd rather LO but I'm also a realist.
What I won't do is support the name change from Wests Tigers to Western Suburbs. It's not because I don't like Western Suburbs it just not a team I follow or have ever followed.... and that goes for our current pathways and KOE sides. I have an interest only as they are our reserve grade and development teams, that's it.
I don't want to sound disrespectful to our magpie brothers and sisters. Our families have split up and we have left home so to speak, we are standing on our "Wests Tigers feet"
If West Tigers fold I'll be supporting cousin Norm Provan's teams Saints and Sharks, if they are in the finals, but from week to week I'd probably follow Brisbane Easts Tigers.
