It must be hard for you listening to Tiger stuff all the time Ted. I'll try to be more sensitive buddy 👍
Not at all. I follow the Tigers now.
When I go to games I am as loud as anyone calling out TIGERS ! TIGERS ! TIGERS !

The Magpies where so bad for so long I would not be overjoyed to be following the Magpies again. I'm happy enough just watching my team play in the predominately black and white occasionally. I know a lot of people will hate me for this but over the years I have got pleasure from watching New Zealand play representing my fantasy Magpies team.

It's not, but the problem is, no one will give a shit about the ownership and governance issues if the club continues to make progress on the field. That's what my concern is, that Wests Ashfield used the report as an excuse to turf the board and the CEO and aren't committed to fixing these issues that lead to us sucking for almost two decades.

It's wonderful that Richo has signed a four year contract to be the CEO and we appear to be going in the right direction. I'm trying to be optimistic and hoping that Barry is being asked to reapply for his job because people aren't satisfied with the movement on these governances and ownership issues, but the jaded and cynical side of me is saying that HBG never gave a shit about fixing them at all, that these issue will go unaddressed and come back to bit us on the arse when Richo moves on.
You f**king nailed it!! Same merkins running the show unfortunately.

How did it all start and if they didn't pay Balmain's debt, what would've happened to the Tigers?
They are Western Suburbs by nature not Balmain. I think they paid the debt so they could get their teeth further into the Tigers heartland and takeover everything, this is why....

Est in 1955 the Western Suburbs Leagues Club Limited was formed to support the Football club.
Now they are as trading as the Holman Barnes Group.
The name is derived fron
Keith Holman MBE and Keith Barnes AM

Wests Ashfield Leagues, Croydon Sports, Markets Club in Homebush and the redeveloped Balmain Leagues Club will now fall under a new umbrella brand, Holman Barnes Group.
The group also has representation in Wests Magpies and shareholding at Wests Tigers and Balmain whose derelict Club will soon be rebuilt.
“The redevelopment of the former Balmain Leagues Club is Rozelle Village, a mixed-use project which will include a new town square, public plaza and retail precinct.
The commercial area will include a new Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, which amalgamated with the former Balmain Tigers Leagues

My question is, why can't this new commercial area be renamed Wests Tigers Leagues Club? Administratiin upstairs and restaurants, casino, night club, entertainment stage etc downstairs.
Everything you read is about Wests and not Tigers. We need an identity off the field. A commercial one in the public sector / entertainment precinct and not just the COE at Homebush.
I just think the Tigers brand is worth putting it out there, not West Ashfield especially in that area.

Pretty sure @Nutz - that’s what we called it anyway.
We’d head up the road from work for lunch every so often.
