I remember when I was stationed in the Solomon Islands in 1942 to ward off the Japs, all the kids would be crying "Dally Messenger! Dally Messenger!".
The news got there pretty slow in them days.
All they wanted to do was play rugby league, yet they had not actual football.
What would they use?
Dead Porcupines of course!
They'd kick those Dead Porkys from sunrise to sunset.
We then got moved West over to the Kokoda Trail, and we were gifted their very best Porky Ball.
We were honoured.
We arrived in PNG to the noise of "Dave Brown! Dave Brown!" (they were more up with the times)
And the long history of the Western Pasifika Porcupines was born.
We expect an approach from the NRL and Perth to be forthcoming, and a bygone conclusion.

Massive news from the Western Pasifika Porcupines bid as a joint venture with foundation clubs is announced!

Club CEO Gerry Singo's statement:
'The Porcupines are pleased to announce a joint venture with the Newtown Jets, North Sydney Central Coast Bears, Perth Reds and Hull KR.
This joint venture will mean The Western Pasifika-Newtown-Hull-Perth-North Sydney Central Coast SuperRedporkbearjetrovers will be the ideal glamour club!

Massive news from the Western Pasifika Porcupines bid as NRL expansion hits fever pitch. Following the recent ALRC meeting WPP CEO Don Duck released this statement:

'We're ready. All our ducks are crossed and boxes are in a row. Our 1000000 seat stadium is ready, we will play 1 game a year at picturesque North Sydney Oval and 1 game at picturesque Dubbo North playing fields. We have a Junior base of 9 million people and 80000 Germans. We have just broken ground on our centre of excellence on picturesque Port Moresby.

Coach Wayde Benny will be our foundation coach. Our major sponsor will be Bonza, IKEA will be our brand partner. We hope to inspire men, women and children from sea to shiny sea."

In a separate statement club mascot Porky Pete said: "Whheeeeeeeee!!!!!!"

WPP Executive Manager of Football Operations Doc Mcfly said: "We are prod to host magic weekend. Games will be played in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Australia, Melbourne, Timbuktu as well as the Porcupines home ground in Macau".

"The Western Pasifika Porcupines are disappointed that the North Sydney Bears have decided to form a joint venture with Perth. The WPP's believed we had a memoriam of understanding with the bears to play 1 game a year in the fig tree at NSO and wear their logo on our arse.

We look forward to gaining the 18th licence and crushing the bears like gnats under our mighty f**king spines mother f**k you bears.......!!!"
