Im not sure how many fans are aware of this fact. Our club calendar has a nasty habit in that at least one player who is pictured on it every year does not survive the following year. We have had cases where some guys did not even START the following year.

This is the 2023 calendar. Two of them did not play a game for us this year. One copped a bad injury a third of the season in while the 4th never really truly got going.



2024 Calender



Which one of these will have misfortune for the fans in 2024?

I’d be thinking Papi, as the swap deal for AFB?

I'd think Klem is a possibility of leaving as well.

There is a new vibe now that there's no protected species.
A new board and players being punted for poor form or just because it suits recruiting.
I wouldn't be surprised if we have two calenders every year, one at the start and one midseason when trades are on offer.
I think Jake might be traded if another club's hooker goes down.
You can move forwards around but a 9 back is a specialist position as is a 7.

Im definitely hoping we keep all four calendar guys.....no doubt.

Here's 2022. Tamou "retired" only to slink off back to the Cowboys and if combined Doueihi and Nofoaluma's first grade appearances that year, you almost get a full season between the two of them.

It's like they just grabbed the four highest paid guys at the start of season. That being said, I hope we keep them all too. Especially Klem, now that we've pulled out if the running for AFB.
