* Sheens think overall in preparation Moltzen has shaded the other two

* Trimarchi is ahead of Galea and Payne at this stage

* Hanbury happy with Hanbury as a utility at this stage

* Sheens has heard Flanno may not be in Raiders side.

* Focus on our preparation as a team and working as a unit and not so much other side

id say payne is there as cover for payten

glad rocky has been given a chance, adds more to the side then galea or payne imo

would prefer gallant over moltzen whos positioning really cost us last year. yeah he looked good against shellharbour but who didnt.

Basically what was expected.

Glad JB isn't there but dissappointed Gallant isn't.

What is the go with Hanbury? I don't see any PL games for Obivous reason but from his games in the top grade he hasn't shown anything. I asume he will fill Sheen's customary give a player 5 minutes at the end of a game role.

I like Moltzen, he adds more to the team with his ball playing abiltity...same idea as Hodgo.

Good to see some size on the bench for a change

Is it me, or is this side all about making sure Farah can be covered if he breaks down. Question is, will things move around once he is fully fit?

OK, but I dont know what Gallant has to do to get a run.

I hope Moltzen has a good game but I sure dont count any success gained in a trial against Shellharbour to be a great indicator of ability. Gallant has proven record.

Also- glad Trimarchi given a shot.

Oh well, here comes 09 fella's.

OK, but I dont know what Gallant has to do to get a run. .
Well for starters he has to loose 10 yards in pace and get rid of that fancy side step , plus disregard any ability he has for reading a game in relation to positional play and support play . On top of that he has to erase all his playing history and create one that is erractic and inconsistent and show a desire to be lazy and uninterested in getting invloved in a match. Im sure if he can address these issues he may get a chance as this seems to be what is required to meet the 2009 fullback's criteria.
Sh*t im already finding it hard to get exited about this year and a ball hasnt even been kicked of. Did anyone see the Daily Telegraph article showing Gallant next to Laurie and the story talking about mighty mouse taking over from Hodgson? Sorry Shannon you have stuck around with a club that has a spastic for a coach, i realy hope your time comes mate.

Can Manly send Watmough over to slap some sense in shine's ,the dumb Pr*ck!!:x

realistically we cant hope for a much better team then that. id prefer gallant at 1 and moltzen at 6, then galea into the squad and halatau/morris/hanbury fighting it out for the utility bench spot.

Moltzen starting ahead of Gallant is the least of our worries to be honest.
Well its one worry that could have been fixed with a stroke of a pen!!! P*ss Moltzen of from fullback and put him in 5/8 and there is another worry gone in a second......nah but thats to f**king hard for teflon coated braindead spastic sheens.

Here we go for another wasted year with that braindead dinosaur coaching our side, we all saw how good a fullback Moltzen was last year against manly...looks like another year of Sheens picking his pets out off position:crazy:

He leaves out best fullback out of the 17 and puts the bloke who should be at #6 at Fullback just to get Morris in the side.

I hope it works but ffs what does Gallant have to do, blow Tim?

Honestly I think the only difference should be Gallant at number 1 and Moltzen at 14 although I am glad Hanbury has been given a shot.

I'm certainly not excited about this year. I believe Sheens will continue his game playing and selection of favourites over form / proven players and with Sheens being selected as the ARL coach- what greater joy can I have than see bloody Simmons promoted to coach the side in Sheens absence? It fills me with dread.....................

Despite the honour of ARL selection as coach, I believe WT should put Sheens on notice with performance expectations against the teams on field performance- Newcsatle have done it with Smith. Acceptance of average results and inconsistent form and team selections should no longer be acceptable to the club or its sponsors.

Having got that off my chest, I still wish the team well, I hope they can rise past whatever Sheens and Simmons do to them and have success on the field.

On a positive side....our backline has a bit of size about it this year.1-5 all six footers or more.

I like that.

Probably the best 17 we could put on the field barring maybe Gallant and Iam afraid that where the problem is, if thats the best what will happen when the injuries hit in, theirs not a lot behind the top 17
