Wests Tigers take over bid

@Mr Spock!

How come you hate the Western Sydney Tigers so much?

The only teams I hate with a passion are the Broncos and Storm, as they've always had massive advantages over everyone else and have done more to harm the game than any other club. Broncos have given fumbleball and onionball a base to build upon by insisting on being the only NSWRL/ARL/NRL team in Brisbane. They did everything they could to run the Crushers out of business.

Tigers are often dudded by bad referring calls, as are the Roosters. Neither team has harmed the game and are vital.

Are you just shitty because Melbourne put 50 on the Elmer Fudds the other night, effectively ending their premiership hopes for 2021?
Lol see some of us aren't fairweather fans who sell out their clubs and merge like you want us to do.

I don't particularly hate teams as such....

More those merkins who allied themselves with Superleague and morons who continually advocate for it even after the damage it did to the game.

Clubs have ups and downs as we see with the Panthers who wouldn't be here if Balmain didn't fold.

Neither team is vital.

No one would miss either of them if they up and went to afl tomorrow.

Just like all the clubs bar Bulldogs sent their lawyers not to let the Rabbitohs back in.

Roosters are the most important team in Sydney. They're based in the CBD and flying the flag for RL against serious competition from Swans and Waratahs. It would be great if the ARLC had a plan to convert the North Shore into rusted-on Roosters territory.

The Elmer Fudds aka South Sydney are a juggernaut now, but who knows where they will be when the old timers die off. They averaged less than 11k in 2017, which isn't enough for a team not collecting revenue from pokies and proves they have a lot of fair-weather fans.

https://afltables.com/rl/crowds/souths.html

The most members in the NRL

And one of the few clubs who turned a profit last year.

And the highest rating club in Sydney.

Higher than the Roosters....

See, this is why people ridicule souffs.

Their fans have the funny idea that their club is somehow special and all the fans of other clubs hold them in some sort of holy regard.
There's a belief among souffs fans that rugby league exists solely because of souffs. Rugby league existed before souffs. The NRL has existed without souffs.

We don't hold them up as the chosen ones. They're not special.

They're "special".

You mean after the Superleague clubs eg Sharks all received 9 million each and then applied the criteria of how much money they had in the bank?

No I dont. Please try to keep up. I mean three years BEFORE Super League was even thought about.....1993/94. The ARL were implementing stricter criteria for admission into the ARL (NOTHING to do with SuperLEague). THAT IS WHY we had Sydney Tigers, Sydney Bulldogs etc.

Not particularly. I wish the bears. magpies and tigers fought the arl.

Souths were run on chook raffles for most of my existence.

I would prefer follow no club than some soulless bastard with no history.

Just like in 2000.

Yep, the Bulldogs are the only other honourable club in the comp. All the other clubs aren't worth a pinch of shit.
That's another laughable rewrite of history.

Souffs have always been keen to boot other clubs to gain territory.

They were gagging to give Newtown and Wests the axe in the early 1980s. The idea that the other clubs should hold them in a special regard just shows how arrogant they are. To pedal the 'working man's club' bullshit and expect anyone to believe it shows that if you do, you need a custodian.

That's your opinion. Yet you simultaneously feel fine with being owned by a Hollywood blowhard that made a pretty speech and conned a majority of members to sell out.

It's wildly inconsistent and obviously emotional justification without any actual basis in fact. The Wests Tigers history is clear and obvious, reaching back to 1908 with still existing links to the foundation clubs that they stem from.

Your feelings about it as a fan of another club are utterly irrelevant.

Nah started with a Wests clown who touted the Roosters as some impeccable business model.

Then you jumped in with your own hypocrisy.

You still don’t get the meaning of hypocrisy. You make baseless accusations about Politis in response to a Tigers fan, not me and I remind you that you have an owner under investigation. Again, you have nothing. Except time it seems judging by this thread history.

Book of feuds....enough said....I never understand why people got that upset that my teams the Sharks went to super league, the answer was quite obvious it was to do with survival.
