Your entitled to your opinion WATiger. I do disagree with how you describe Penrith's culture.

I agree with you that he was very dumb to post anything after his grandfinal win.

I also believe it was used by many as the means to run him out of town.

That's my opinion.
Maybe not the club culture but looking at the 3 equal highest ranked players Luai, Cleary and Api.. Cleary’s needling himself on tv..the grand final thug like celebrations from Luai, APIs brain fade, others rubbing the losing teams noses in the loss. All with the coaches support. It can’t be far off….I’ve been watching this game for decades and in that time I’ve never seen that behaviour from the winning team..That would have even embarrassed yourself Alice..yes/no? If not maybe it’s more of a Penrith culture than u think

I heard someone speak say why is Branden Smith celebrated as a genuine scally wags and yet the Penrith boys are blasted for being scally wags in their own way.

Both folks are showing their personalities.

Has it got something to do with the fact that many of them are Islander boys, and come from a low socio economic area like Penrith ?

Personally I like classical music, musical theatre, swing jazz.

Everyone has individual tastes.

Look at how these boys treat their families and others.

Kiks when at Penrith basically supported his extended family in fiji.

Bizza has bought his little sister a headstone for her unmarked grave with his first big contract and then his parents a house with his latest contract.

Luai stayed at home with his partner and young children making sure his sibiling supported them financially whilst his father was in goal

Critta has just bought his parents a house at Penrith

Moses Leota some years ago when back in NZ bought his mum a new car as a suprise,

Fisher harris during lock down lent his 2nd car (his partners) for 12 months to a player from NZ warriors when lock down occured so they had transport. Even fitted new car seats for the children of this family.

Do these young men sound like thugs ?

Simple question. Did you support or did you feel embarrassed by your teams behaviour after the grand final as described above?

No I didn't.

They have a right to celebrate in a manner to which they see fit.

They had won back to back premierhips.

Just because you don't like the way the players celebrate. It doesn't mean they are thugs, and doesn't mean it's wrong.

It's just different.

Nothing illegal happened during their celebrations, although I'm sure many from rival clubs wished it to be.

Times have changed WATiger.

These young men celebrate in their own way, celebrating their success.

Don't get sucked into some sections of the media demand that celebrating must be done according to 'their rules'.

Right and wrong from a winning team doesn’t change tho. From your well worded posts with Ned, I had assumed that you knew the difference.
I challenge you to find me one team in the history of sport that behaved like Penrith did post grand final and then think about why there are none..

Are you demanding WATiger that players celebrate in a manner which makes you feel comfortable ?

That's a rabbit hole that wipes away individual differences and differing personailities.

If that heppens we end up living in a vanilla world, that is very beige.

A couple of posts ago I explained how these young men treat their families and others.

I understand many of them do huge amounts of work in the community, not done in the glare of a TV camera or a photographer.

To me, they are the markings of a man.

I know where not going to agree on this subject. So I will agree to disagree.

This is someone here back in the day condemning media commentators for criticising May:

C1155F41-7456-4742-8F7E-9ECCD55D0B17.jpeg

It wasn’t a poorly word post, it was an arrogant, victim shaming, self congratulatory slap on the back -portraying himself as a victim.

There was no excuses for it.

It stunned the Panthers, it harmed their club, the games image, it stuck, a middle finger up to the Panther on the prowl people who had spent years trying to rehabilitate him, it was a f**king disgrace.

He eventually gets sacked because people standing up for women put continued and relentless pressure on the club. Including their own sponsors, including Brandy Alexander who was on the board.

Took 6-8 weeks for the impasse of the then matey sexist culture to be overcome in that instance.

And the next day, Nate calls him his bruvver.

That was also investigated as it should have been.

I’m saying, what you feel comfortable with eg it’s ok for your winning team to make fun of the losing team, should be kept from the kids (any kids) regardless of any good deeds your winning team did for their family/ community.

Ned has wanted to champion victims rights and women.

This is something @Luke Bowden recently raised elsewhere, much to his credit and he has been prepared to stick his neck out.

All the matey excuses based on club loyalties should no longer be tolerated.

I propose to @macnaz we declare the Wests Tigers forum to be anti domestic violence.

Penrith wears PINK jerseys for women in League round every 2nd week, and moreso on the hotter days, what more punishment do they need to take?

On tyrone may issues, that bloke is a flog, and the acts were disgraceful, but seriously if it wasn't filmed and flaunted around, it wouldn't have an issue, due to it being consensual, not my cuppa tea but all people come from different walks of life... there wasnt any violence... just massive, emotional, embarrassment, especially for her, for anyone involved, and a huge black eye on the club and its culture... not sure why all this is getting air again, but its a stain from the past that nearly most clubs have and only really brought up here or in the media to clickbait folk into interest or moreso here to put generally shit on each other as fans...

You called me by Name as Alice. Then posted something I wrote over 12 months ago.

Take responsibility for your own actions please.
Condemn Tyrone May with no disclaimers or excuses please.

It wasnt a poorly worded Instagram thing, it was deliberate self praise, playing the victim with the accompanying inference that the sexual offence he committed on an innocent young lady previously was somehow right and justified.

He did so, because he is a shitbag.

This was a what I said to you pro-Tyronians then;
