bite me hung!! Burty and ash may be out of form, but they are still players you would want in your squad. I am not a big peterson fan, but even he hasn't been too bad lately. i am not kidding myself i am showing faith!! as PARRA_FAN said, they have a FUTURE!
even without the three you mentioned we have:
gruzska
anderson
guru
mckinnon
prince
joel reddy
langi
ben smith
luke o'dwyer and you want some bigname who will come in and "fix" everything?
now whose kidding themselves?

You.

You will not be a top 8 side with a backline made up of solely the above players. Add Grohte and you might be on the fringe- add Tahu and you're getting closer. 9/10 juniors won't make any impression on the top grade- yet you want them all in the top grade and reject a origin/test quality back.

Outside backs (next year)

Wade McKinnon
Luke Burt
Luke O'Dwyer
David Vaealiki
Eric Grothe

Other options I'd try would include:

Ronald Prince
Ben Smith
Joel Reddy
Brett Anderson
Matt Lantry
Brett Delaney

and Daniel Wagon / John Morris at centre.

and you want talented juniors to be kept in firstdivision while we sign tahu for years. its 6 to one and half a dozen to the other!

all i know isthats why our youngns leave because the club shows no faith in them. we need to do a penrith. 2003 all their juniors, nonames and kids stood up and won a premiership! i would rather be cheering them on then quickfixes, thats all.

its my opinion, don't tell me im kidding myself and don't tell me i don't know what im talking about. put forward a debate or respect it and move on

I'd advice people to go to the games on time and actually get your moneys worth by watching all three grades. Some of the turnouts for Jersey Flegg have been down right appalling this year. This week we don't get flegg but atleast watch the top of the table clash between the Roosters and the Eels.

The young forwards are also quite exciting. Flegg are a little drained of talent recently but they still have some quality players. Someone who has impressed me is the young hooker from Flegg can't quite remember his name but it is ultra anglo-saxon (something like Williams). He's a nuggetty little guy that is good with the ball in hand.

you can get flegg, you just gotta haul ass to kograh!

flegg, before the were injuries and promotions, were poetry to watch. brett anderson's 5 tries, joel reddy is just fantastic, brett delaney shows pure passion, and at penrith week before last, there was so much biff, we only had 10 players on the field! what more do you want????

SCOTT JONES!! parradaze! the little terrier! he is great! he gets really fired up and yells at people twice his size but when he's on the field, the whole team lifts and thats when we put on all the points!!

just yell at him SCOTTY!!!! as he runs on the field, and he'll love it!

Would there be a stronger backline in the comp than ours if we had:

1. McKinnon
2. Grothe
3. Lyon
4. Vaeliki
5. Tahu

I DONT THINK SO...if Lyon didnt come back shift Tahu into the centres and Burt onto the wing...

Only the Roosters would be able to afford to keep that backline under the cap.

ParraDaze I think Tahu wants to play in the centres and Parra also see him as a centre (Lyon's replacement) so the real question is who will wear the No. 2 if infact Tahu does join us. I think Burt would probably get first crack but I think Prince is a better all round player than Burty. Just my opinion.

I think if Burt is forced to fight for his spot it will bring the best out of him. Nothing like a bit of competition for spots.
