Burt can play centre, wing, fullback. But lets face it, wouldnt matter where Burt plays in the backline if Smith keeps persisting with Wagon at 5/8.

Look this has gone too far when trying to buy players with big money when theyre not even worth that much. For once I'd like to see Parramatta sticking with their own breed of players, the youngsters coming through. we've already got Anderson, O'Dwyer, Witt, Armit, Afamasaga, Tsolous, T Smith, Gruska, Reddy, B Smith, Cordoba.

If Newcastle, Brisbane and Penrith did it, then surely Parramatta has got to do it. Enough is Enough, sign what we need, dont give them too much. Get rid of the weak links (eg. Wagon and Vella). And coach them right, pls Smithy. :x

We want a team of good first graders, not a team of rejects.

We picked up Prince from Cronulla didn't we? And I seem to remember there was a bit of a delay/misunderstanding at the end of last year in regards to retaining him on a one year contract?

He's got plenty to offer when not injured, but it's anyone's guess as to who gets resigned. Prince can play fullback as well as wing which is in his favour.

And don't forget we need more than just a top 17, as injuries and rep teams will take their toll. The club will be looking at securing 35 players that can handle the top grade - that's how many different players have been selected in firsts so far this year. And there can be young juniors who aren't deemed ready for firsts that the club can (hopefully) secure in addition to that.

So Prince and many others still have their chance to stay on even if we go and sign a Tahu or a Riddell here and there. (But I agree that young juniors like Gruszka and Hinchcliffe who are on NRL contracts but get overlooked for a go in first grade are the most likely to look elsewhere next year.)

Look - Prince is great.

But he is a solid fullback. WOuld you rather have Wade or Prince? Both are defensively sound and great in attack, I just think Wade (being an Eel junior) offers more in every department.

Then there's wing - Burt, Petersen, Grothe, Graham, Anderson. These guys are all guys who can score tries and win you games.

Prince is great, but hardly a game-breaker.

I'd say Wade (Parra junior) is the preferred fullback now and for the near future. And with Joel Reddy (local junior?) performing well and "above his age" as Premier league fullback, it's likely that he will take Ronald Prince's spot in that top 35 at the Eels next year.

5. Eric Grothe

Backups
1. Ronald Prince
2. Matt Petersen/Luke Burt
3. Ashley Graham
4. Ben Smith
5. Joel Reddy
6. Junior Langi (if stays)
7. Brett Anderson
8. Matt Gruska
9. John Williams
10. Matt Lantry
11. Paul Marzella
