I suspect it may be Grame O'Grady. He was the Jets lock forward in 1981.

It sorta looks like him. But I'm thinking it's not him. O'Grady had longer hair. And maybe shorter in height. Different build

How can you guys remember this stuff I can barely remember league from when I started watching it in the early 80s

How can you guys remember this stuff I can barely remember league from when I started watching it in the early 80s

When I saw the photo, I guessed it had to be from the 1981 NSWRL Preliminary Final, as the Roosters (who finished the year as Minor Premiers) lost to the Newtown Jets. The Roosters had lost the Major Semi-Final the previous week in extra time to the Parramatta Eels. The Jets went on to lose to the Eels in the 1981 GF.

As such once you know what game it was, its easy to go from there and look up the p[layers names and photos.

I can remember things quite clearly from that period being at the games but trying to remember the scores and matches from a couple of years ago i can really struggle with now .
