For those saying Tate shouldn't be there, name another centre that's doing better than him, particularly when you think about combinations with Lockyer and De Vere.
I can name you 5, Berrigan, Cooper, Lewis, Cross and Gidley.

He's a good player but I don't think he deserves a jersey yet based on the 4 games he's played, the only game where I'd say he played well was the Melbourne one, he was pretty average in the rest.

I see the coach got his wish at 5/8. Yes locky is a great player but he is not, i repeat NOT the best 5/8. I for one cannot understand how the best fullback in the world , by a mile, can play 6 games at 5/8 and get picked. I can guarantee Baz is a better allround 5/8. For mine tyhe side would have been better served with Locky at fullback. It does seem that Bennett is doing what bozo did when he was the coach, I mean Tate ????

We will win and no more will be mentioned about selections. I just hope Locky is chosen at 6 for QLD.

Tate is just a chin with a man attached.

Tahu is a fumble waiting to happen.

DeVere is pedestrian at best.

I just hope it's a game played in the forwards.

GIDLEY + TAHU = BIGGEST DISGRACE/TRAVESTY/ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D CARE TO ADD

How those 2 made it, I'll never know.

Someone has rocks in their head though.

theres no way i would have had timmins starting, at prop anyway, but other than that its an ok team really. hope the kiwis have the firepower to match it, it would be awesome to see a high scoring, close test match

right you are. i am happy with that.

i just read the numbers off this page.

i wish they would stop doing that. list the players in numerical order like they used to, none of this 1-7 13-8 field position stuff

yea, listing the players from 1-17 minimised confusion and makes more sense to me

The Kiwi pack is awesome, so is ours.
Outside backs are pretty even I think. Devere will be solid and mistake free, can finish, but is obviously expected to kick well.
Our bench is a tad small.
6. Lockyer (c), will be the difference. I have been waiting a while, but Johns was supposed to be 7. Gower is a great player though and will do great.
Barrett might think of trying on number 13 soon. ;-)

De vere got in there because of Goal Kicking and Bennets the coach.

The selectors wanted Schifcofske, but the coach just gets his way and picks his own club players.

De Vere's selection is a disgrace. Tate must have done something nice to someone's grandmother, he gets an armchair ride into the Australian team time after time.

Lewis is in now, as 18th man! :D

He should be in there ahead of Tate, but ah well, he'll make his debut eventually... in 2007 probably.

Schif is a fullback, and not a winger.

Sonny Bill Williams was lucky to get in

Sonny has played solid games in every game he has played. always a handfull for the opposition. He can play in the second row, Lock and in the backs.

Better than Recent teams, but I don't think I would have gone with the same outside backs as the selectors did. Other than that, I'm happy...

happy to see Gower at half, Mini as a fullback where he has been awesome all year and Joel Clinton get a run. Am slightly confused why Berrigan and Crocker need to be there...they both play a variety of positions and if you get rid of one or the other, another specialist forward for Crocker or back for Berrigan could be picked.
Timmins will do the job, but IMO is lucky to be there. Luke Lewis has been carving them up and is unlucky.
DeVere is serviceable at best, but is a good kicker and is solid with minimal mistakes. Tate is fortunate also...but Wee Waa wouldn't release Jamie Lyon for the game.
If you are going to pick Tahu, you need to pick Gidley, and vice versa...they play well together, but as seperate players are good at best.

You must have played the game, because I couldn't have summed it up any better myself.
