What do you guys see in Josh Dugan?

I see a once great player that has waned considerably, at a much faster rate that his peers.

Why? Maybe lack of commitment on the training paddock, off-field hijinks such as the shit he did in SOO with Fergo when we needed focused / well behaved players, poor mental strength as has already been stated + being a dumb merkin doesn’t help either.

A guy who could help win a premiership.

Up to John Morris to get the best from him, has not yet, once all out top guys are back, all the team will play better.

Iv wanted Duges on the wing all season with Xerri in the centres but really starting to think they should be the other way around, Xerri can’t do any worse than Duges under the high ball can he? And as much as Duges says he is happy to play wing I think his head will be a lot clearer in the center.

159m and only behind Nikora and Hamlin for post contact metres

3 errors , in the position where you are most likely to make one due to all the kick chase pressure and the leg up attacking teams get with the absurd escort rule.

I’ve never really been a fan, but fullback is a position is a high pressure position. Duggan runs the ball back with real speed and is a hard guy to put on his back, a keeper for wing and fullback. He is ugly with his mullet, tats and head but gives 100%. He has also been out with injury and I think has not reached his peak fitness wise.

How many chances can we give him though? I’m sorry but if he hasnt pulled it together as full back I can’t see why in the world he Should stay at no1. It’s round 11.

He is clearly not in the right head space yet. He needs to stick to a position he is comfortable at I.e center and stick with it through the season. Hopefully then he can find his old form.

Considering his inability to catch a pass, I think Xerri could do worse.

Hopefully Xerri to wing this week in place of Feki and Duges to centre if Moylan is back. That’s the ideal situation.

Been missing him that’s for sure

Honestly.....

Dugan awards the opposing team at least 12 points per game. Okay that's not accurate, but he is like a millstone around the team's neck. Don't tell me about the tries he scores and the runs he makes, he is overall a liability.
I'd like to see some of you keyboard hero's go out and do what he does on the field week in and week out so we can pick the shit out of your performance too.
Without him we wouldn't have beaten Penrith.
There wasn't a lot in that game on the weekend considering we were over the line 4 times and had the ball held up, pulled out or gave away a shepherd.
Manly out enthused the sharks, we looked flat. A couple of mistakes by Dugan wasn't the only reason Manly won
