What do you think about Lebron???

The way he went about it on national TV was a bitch move, to shaft your franchise like that was cold and even if he matches Jordan and gets 6 rings I think Kobe's legacy will no be regarded above LBJ's much less not in the same breath as MJ. I have no problem with the move itself but the way he did it was wrong.

I hope the Bulls come out and kick some ass this season.

But like the Boston big 3, whos title is that. Pierce was finals mvp but no one will say it was his team or it was all him, Garnett and Allen respected the fact that Pierce was established there and they were going to his team, much like Lediva will have to.

Even though it was a collective effort it was still Pierce's team. KG and Ray Allen, as you said, came in but respected the established authority in Pierce and that's why they were so succesful you have two guys who had wanted a ring for so many years they were prepared for the sacrifice, will LBJ do the same?

Staying put or moving to the Nets or more specificaly the Knicks would have been the best option for Basketball fans, the game is built on rivalries not dream teams. Bird and Magic, they saved Basketball and Jordan always said his biggest regret was Bird and Magic were on their way out when he was on his way up.

Cleveland still on LeBron James' mind

LeBron James won't rule out returning to play for Cleveland someday, but admitted in an interview with GQ magazine that owner Dan Gilbert's letter to fans on the night James left the Cavaliers gives him "a lot of motivation" for when he and his new Miami Heat teammates play his former club.

In an interview to be published in the September issue of GQ, James told writer J.R. Moehringer that "if there was an opportunity for me to return [to Cleveland] ... and those fans welcome me back, that'd be a great story."

But James, who announced on July 8 that he would leave the Cavaliers as a free agent to sign with the Heat, said of Gilbert's late-night letter: "I don't think he ever cared about LeBron. My mother always told me: 'You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You'll get a good sense of their character.' Me and my family have seen the character of that man."

James added: "It made me feel more comfortable that I made the right decision."
Gilbert did not immediately respond to The Associated Press' request for comment Tuesday.
Moehringer interviewed James three times in a 19-day span -- twice before and once after his announcement.

The story looks at the weeks leading up to and just after his July 8 announcement on ESPN -- on a show titled "The Decision," which was widely panned. James said he wouldn't change anything about how he made his decision, or how he told the world about it.

James told GQ: "I understand that a lot of people would be hurt" in Cleveland by his decision, but also said that growing up, he and his friends from Akron didn't always like Cleveland. Akron is about 40 miles south of Cleveland.

"It's not far, but it is far," James told GQ. "And Clevelanders, because they were the bigger-city kids when we were growing up, looked down on us. ... So we didn't actually like Cleveland. We hated Cleveland growing up. There's a lot of people in Cleveland we still hate to this day."

James said he'll remain anchored in Akron. "I'm going to spend a lot of the summer here," he said. "This is my home. Akron, Ohio, is my home. I will always be here. I'm still working out at my old high school."

And he said Cleveland fans were "awesome," but didn't take back his comment late last season that those around him were "spoiled" by his play.
"I love our fans. Cleveland fans are awesome," he told GQ. "But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court."

The night of James' announcement, Gilbert said he believed James quit on Cleveland during the 2009 and 2010 playoffs. Gilbert was ultimately fined $100,000 by the NBA for what commissioner David Stern said were comments that fell into the category of being "a little extreme."
In the GQ article, James took exception to the "quitter" tag.
"Every night on the court I give my all, and if I'm not giving 100 percent, I criticize myself," James said.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

The bolded bit intrigued me.

He's always maintained that he was loyal to Akron - not Cleveland.

But Tiger Hawk thinks he's got to stop referring to himself in the third person.

Haha was just going to say, this whole Lebron referring to himself in the 3rd person is hilarious.

Lol, good way at trying to deflect attention from his exit from Cleveland by saying he that they "hated" him growing up, the guy just needs to shutup, he keeps making it look worse for himself.

When youre the best, a lot of people will hate you. Just ask Kobe.

In saying that, I really dislike Lebron these days.

I wont deny Lebrons talent but this whole saga has just dragged on and he went about it the wrong way from the start and all these comments after wards are not helping, the guy just needs to shutup and let his bball do the talking.

It's wierd but everything that's happened has made me kinda want to root for James. Not because I like the dude, but because of all the hate he's been receiving amongst the media and fans. Sure what he did was arrogant and indulgent, but in the context of things, athletes have done far worse.

Never was a fan of Lebron before the Decision, might become one now.

Screw that, the guy just proved his arrogance and that he thinks he runs the world lol He lost respect for the way he went about it and how he has handled everything

Hope he gets injured tbh.

The guy threw his entire city under the bus in the most public fashion possible in order to go pimpin' in Miami.

What I find funny...is when Boston play Miami..imagine the chant from Boston "Delonte f'd your mum...Delonte f'd your mum..." lol

What do I think?

LeBron James gave up any quest for challenging the greats for G.O.A.T. instead opting for a perceived "easier" path to Championship glory on Wade's team (no certainty when some guy named Kobe is in the league with his team looking for a 3-peat). It's such a shame. James' numbers are scary and whilst I respect any player wanting to win Championships, I believe the perceived "harder" road at Cleveland would have been more rewarding AND healthier for his legacy when he retires in the ten or so years.

Yeah saw it a while back.

It's so great because the two events fit in so well.

"Ok we have seen the end of Cleveland's economy"

Damn. How wrong was I.

James will only enhance his reputation and go on to be G.O.A.T.
