BUMP
Finished Persona 3 & Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest.
Took me a hundred hours to beat Persona 3, largely my own fault because I grinded way too much but at times, the game just forces you to grind to get past certain enemies. I understand why it's so highly regarded and I enjoyed my time with it but it's really put me off playing another JRPG for a good length of time, I just find grinding to be cumbersome and a cheap game mechanic. Still, despite being a tad monotonous and slow at times, the game finished on a high, really dug the epilogue and glad I'm finally finished with it.
Master Quest was just an attempt to get in the Christmas spirit, since Ocarina of Time was one of the best presents I ever received. Playing the 'expansion' or so to speak was an interesting experience, certain tweaks were welcomed with some more challenging enemy replacement but for the most part, it felt tedious or vague. When it did work, I found it fun, I enjoyed little touches like the cows inside Jabu Jabu's belly or the corner of death in the Well and it reminded me of certain elements that made me enjoy the game that I had completely forgotten about.
Next year I'll have to get the 3DS version and play through, see how the textures add to the experience.
Just waiting until Friday where I can pick my PS3 up and finally get my hands on Rugby League Live 2.
