What happened to this guy?

One minute he was being considered for Rookie of the Year and now he is coming of the bench in reserve grade.

It doesn't make sense.

You have a 5/8 playing Halfback.

A lock foward playing 5/8.

And this guy, a quality halfback playing Reserve grade?

Is Brian Smith on drugs?

From reading some of the posts regarding his reggies form it sounds like he was dropped to prems for an attitude re-adjustment. I guess he'll be elevated back to top grade when form dictates he should?

IF you want to take the rumours with a grain of salt, I heard he was dropped as a form of disciplinary action. APPARENTLY, he:

1. Showed up a little drunk to training one day; and

2. APPARENTLY was involved in some off field antics which Brian wasn't too impressed with (almost a la Vella and Muzza last year)

The ball is fairly and squarley in Mick Witt's court now.

A spot in first grade isn't his right.

He has to get out their and reggies, bust his ass and demand selection in the top grade by killing it in premier league.

I don't think it matters how well he plays.

Smithy has already said he needs another half a season in premmy league.

Besides Dyksey is one of Smithy's favourites and he has already said he wants Dyksey at half back.

With those type of comments, its no wonder Witty's unhappy.

Then get out there and show it? Demand selection by playing out of his skin.

Exactly. How many 20 year old half backs are their in first grade? Didely squat.
If he can't accept that he still has alot to learn and that he can't be a walk up starter in firsts, then he is a waste of time.

I think he is better than this, and that rumors of him wanting to leave are bollocks, but time will tell with his attitude.

If people want to see how he is doing,don't listen to rumors and speculation, get out to WIN stadium 3pm saturday and check it out. (even better will be next week when he is head to head with his brother at Parra in ressies).

Again I say, by all accounts Thorman is a class above Witt at the moment and Dykes was our best player last week. Even Sterlo had the likes of John Kolc in front of him when he came to grade but he saw it as a challenge. Witty has to do the same.
