nearly every team thinks it has a rivalry with the Broncos (namely Warriors & Cowboys, even tho most Broncos fans, have a soft spot for those sides)

id say our biggest 2 atm are Melbourne & Gold Coast.

I'd say the Broncos 2 biggest are Melbourne and the Dragons.

Gold Coast is pretty much everyone's second team, and as other people have said, thats not what makes a rivalry

Please read the first page of this thread. I think the six people (including me :D)who voted Eels V Dogs know their sh*t about League. The preliminary final is a great indicator. It will break all non GF records.
They should do an eels vs the world match:crazy: Storm vs bonkcos, dragqueens and the man pole munchin eagles are the biggest games for storm fans

Still Dragons Sharks for mine. If it was Parra Dogs in the middle of year and both teams were struggling how many bandwagon fans would show?

If it was Dragons v Sharks, it is always close to sell out, even if they are comming last and second last.

Its the broncos hands down.

I have seen fist fights start over these 2 teams when they are not even playing.

Really? You merkins are not exactly on our Christmas list either. We sat for 10 years without a team because of your f*cking club, the funny thing is i like your players, its you merkin supporters i want to stab in the neck.

Dragons vs Sharks is a creampuff of a rivalry, no one outside those teams really shows any interest towards it or gives a sh*t- much like the Parra vs Penrith rivalry ( which i'll admit is very overrated).

55,000 tickets sold already just proves my point, no other rivalry in Syd could generate such interest from the media and fans.

Broncos fans only have a resentment toward the Titans because they're not getting all of the attention of SE Queensland anymore.
And although the Cowboys have done sfa *rolls eyes*, it'll only be a matter of time before the Titans get a premiership, oh won't that steal the thunder!

Great, another club with a wannabe Dragons rivalry. If every team that played us in a GF had a rivalry against us, then 2/3 of our season would be a rivalry round.

St George has two rivalries: Cronulla and Canterbury. No-one else.

Hmmm....

Sharks v Dragons @ Toyota R11 this year - 15,201. Capacity at Toyota from memory is about 20,000 or so. That's not "close to a sell out".

Meanwhile, Bulldogs v Eels crowds since, say... 1999:

R15 1999 @ Parra = 22,062
R05 2000 @ ANZ = 19,081
R18 2000 @ Parra = 17,130
R10 2001 @ Parra = 20,222
R23 2001 @ Syd SG = 21,895
R16 2002 @ Parra = 22,136
R23 2002 @ Syd SG = 19,346
R04 2003 @ ANZ = 24,907
R01 2004 @ ANZ = 42,717 (DH)
R08 2005 @ ANZ = 24,957
R23 2005 @ Parra = 20,289
R10 2006 @ ANZ = 13,159
R06 2007 @ Parra = 18,285
R21 2007 @ ANZ = 27,201
FW2 2007 @ ANZ = 50,621
R01 2008 @ ANZ = 25,065
R24 2008 @ ANZ = 27,564
R06 2009 @ ANZ = 18,233
R20 2009 @ ANZ = 31,664

Over ten years, clashes between these clubs during the NRL season have averaged 24,554.

Case closed IMO.

thats the spirit!! we could make this a rivalry to rival boca/river :p

so its our fault that u didnt have a team to support? awww. I dont know where u get that from is it that all the potential chargers fans just supported the Broncos because of their sheer awesomeness. Cant help that.

I'm actually surprised you're not another turncoat former Broncos fan like the majority of titans fans, along with the "I go for the Toidans coz they are the sickest thing on the goldy now ay bra!" people.

Historically the big three were:

1)Tigers v Bunnies - dating 100 years and 4 days since the 1909 forfeit/final, and the 1969 boilover GF. Look at recent crowd states between the two. Not Tigers fan has Souths as their second team, and vice versa.

2) Norths v Manly. One of the first league forums ever was the Manly Haters Forum - run by some Bears fans and only shut down then they merged. The venom there was phenomenal at times. I also recall Norths floging manly at Brookie, and Billy Moore giving the Arthurson Stand the "up yours" fist and shouting "Merger my arse"! Pure passion and venom.

3) Wests v Saints - over the 3 grand finals Wests lost amid Saints great run - with dodgey referee allegations.

Easts v Souths is manufactured. A great way to stir up an 8000 crowd twice a year - nothing more.

Funny no one has mentioned Newcastle - who always get fired up for games against Brisbane and Manly.

Now, however, consider these facts:
The only trial match that can draw 30k is Souths v Saints.

The only semi final that can draw anywhere near 60k is Parra v Dogs.

All others pale in comparison.
