What makes a junior a junior?

trouble is guys like you have no bloody idea and you don't read - now would your regard Redcliffe - a feeder club our juniors now?? If you say no then a lot of these teams better be changed quickly. Like Brisbane's etc -

My original post was an observation about John's right to be called a Newcastle junior. I didn't insult anyone and then the Cronulla supporter starts the trouble with his name calling comeback. If someone calls me an idiot then I will defend myself.

He isnt a junior he was developed by them. Much like Brent Tate...he is not a Brisbane junior..from Redcliffe... but was developed by them

He played all his junior footy with the knights. If you are trying to say that then read what Joker said. The hunter is part of the Knights domain. Helensburgh is part of Illawarra's junior area but it's not in Wollongong is it?

As for Cogburns point it is a valid one. As I saiod before Redcliffe, Ipswich, Burleigh all play in the BRL but are not considered Bronco juniors

No it doesnt at all. Burleigh play in the BRL but you can hardly call anyone from there a Brisbane junior.

I think this stems from the fact that when we call a player a junior because they played all their junior footy (ie Jersey Flegg etc) with us then we always have the arguement that they are not "local" thrown in our face.

So in theory Johns is not a "local" junior as Cessnock is not part of Newcastle.

I just think you cant have your cake and eat it to.

Well in fact they are not Raider local juniors...they are NSW country juniors if you are referring to locality. But of course they are Raider developed juniors. Hey I am jsut going on the definitions everone else uses on us

but you still didn't answer my question - do you consider players from Redcliffe as our juniors - yes/no - remember we spend a lot of time up in the area - we also spend money on developing them - in fact you should see the number of young Redcliffe players coming down this year....

oh do you also know we ran a junior coaching clinic last year in penrith territory at the kingswood sport s club complex...no i bet you didn't and there were a lot of kids there..not our juniors but we spent money on junior development in that area...
