Rewatched Hook.
I remember watching it heaps when I was a kid but not having seen it for quite a while, and seeing people on the net attack it, I forgot how good it is. Yes it's a bit silly, but it has a good heart to it and an amazing soundtrack by John Williams. Certainly takes me back to my childhood, and some of the emotional scenes involving the themes of kidnapping resonate more now that I'm older (not a parent, but still).

Watched Blue is the Warmest Colour. Definitely lives up to the reviews, one of the more honest and meaningful films I've seen. Really well written characters and great scenes about a developing relationship. It's too bad most people will just associate it with the graphic sex scenes. There were 3 well done sex scenes which had a point, and then there were 2 others which seemed to go on forever with no real point to it aside from 'look, they're having lesbian sex!' which with a male directing 2 straight girls, I doubt they'd know much about. This is confirmed with the author calling it porn and the actors saying it was humiliating and that the director was verbally abusive on set. It just takes you out of the movie and is more awkward than arousing.
Still, a great movie. Also nice to see the two leads cast as average women, instead of the supermodels most Hollywood films cast nowadays.

Just watched This is the End. The cameos and such at the start are quite funny, and it carries well with some laugh out loud jokes, but just didn't fall in love with it.

The Internship. Funniest movie I've seen all year. I honestly thought it was going to be boring, so I was pleasantly surprised. The best scenes are the Sports game thingy they played with broomsticks, and the nightclub scene... both had me literally LOLing at times  will watch it again soon - highly recommended!

Still got 2 to go. Decided to copy Harry Potter and split the last book into 2 movies. The only reason has to be money, I don't think the plot of the book can justify splitting it

Pacific Rim.

Monsters fighting robots copiloted by sexy Asian chicks. What more can a fella ask for.

Loved it!

Expendables 2. Don't really think these films are as good as they could be. Really enjoyed the airport shoot out though. Sly, Arnie, Willis and (to a lesser extent) Norris blowing away plenty of bad guys made me grin.
