Saw Philomena and Hunger Games. Philomena about ten times better. f**king Catholic Church. I thought the Hunger Games 2 was alright until it just became the rehashed plot of the first one with more over-the-top, one-dimensional psychotic characters.

Thor: The Dark World

Not a huge Thor fan, but this was excellent IMO. Great action, humour and some touching scenes.

Also, Chris Hemsworth is an animal.

Fast & Furious (4th in the series, continuing my F&F marathon tribute to Paul Walker).

I keep forgetting just how great this movie really is as it's kind of in the distant shadow of Fast Five (which I'll be watching tomorrow).

All respects to Paul Walker but I just don't rate the F&F movies. First was OK because I was like what 14-15 years old but the ones after that were average and the latest was terrible.

Watched one of Paul's earliest films a while back Meet the Deedles terrible movie but remember it from my early teen years haha

Mate everyone's got different tastes. Some people love certain films that others don't rate that highly, and the worst movie they've ever seen is someone else's favorite. Just depends on the person. I know there are heaps of unrealistic parts in the movie but it's purely just for entertainment purposes.

Seriously? I thought Hugh was average. Screaming every scene doesnt make you a good actor.

Gyllenhal was superb.

Pretty much this.

I've heard some people complain that Gyllenhal's attempt to flesh out the character was distracting but personally, I found it added intrigue to a role that was designed to be very one dimensional.

It's probably the best film I've seen all year but it's preaching to the choir somewhat as I'd eat these TV1 esque thrillers up everyday. It does go a little long at about 2 hours and 30 minutes and certain seems fall victim to the Hollywood cliches that defy reality, but for what it is, it's still good fun.

Check it out if you're a fan of movies like Zodiac or Se7en.

walker peaked in varsity blues, not a huge fan of the fast and furious set either

just watched a few from the 50 i recently got off someones hard drive, i mean legally aquired

Hard Candy - yikes, do wish that on all kiddy fiddlers though
Operation Endgame - not bad for a secret service type action/comedy
Killshot - pretty meh
Killing them softly - boring
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer - thought it would be complete rubbish but was ok with some decent action shots.
