I think I am just getting sick of Comic Book movies.
There's a shitload more to come in the next few years with DC/Warner Bros., Marvel/Disney and Fox all expanding their own cinematic universes. There'd be even more if Sony didn't cancel their Spiderman universe of films.

Add to that all the tv marvel series from Jessica Jones to Luke Cage, Daredevil to the Flash.

Theres a serious gluteny of comic movies of late. Cant say I'm complaining though. More the merrier.

Yeah. I like watching them if theyre good and different I suppose.

Of all the Marvel movies. The only ones that I thought were better than a 6/10 were gotg, Cap 2 & 3 and the first Avengers. The rest were completely Middle of The road and I usually felt disappointed.

The same happened to me for Luke cage. It was just not that great imo. Loved DD and JJ.

The Xmen movies were consistent bar last stand. (Never watched and of the origin movies, they just didn't look good to me)

Nolan series good but last 2 essentially not Batman movies.

Recent Snyder movies on par with most Marvel with the exception of the aforementioned movies, if lacking a bit of humour.

Marvel particularly to me though, I feel like I've watched the same movie 6 times

Daredevil isn't even being filmed yet, don't think season 3 has a release til 2018.

I believe they want to do the punisher before daredevil season 3 as he played a big part in season 2 and I for one can't wait for a punisher series. He's the best marvel character and so under rated.

Saw Dr Strange. Not making my top 5 Marvel movies. I liked it but I may be in the same category as some others on here, a little burned out on comic book movies (and I haven't watched any f the Netflix shows). I'd still give it 7/10 but it wasn't anything new, but it was impressive visually.

Train to Busan. Nice surprise. Made the Walking Dead zombies look pretty tame as well. Interesting, developed characters.

Hacksaw Ridge. Pretty good but trying to make Australia look like Virginia took me out of it for much of the first half.

Anthropoid - the story of the assassination of Hitler's third in command, SS General Heydrich in Poland during the early part of World War 2. Wasn't too bad at all.

7/10.

Hacksaw Ridge. Another amazing film from Mad Mel. I was literally shaking in my seat with nervousness in the lead up to the battles. Really well done.

I watched this last night and I'm not particularly into zombie movies, it was practically non stop action. A bit clichéd but it was OK.

5.5/10.

Hacksaw Ridge. So much bible hugging, easy to see why the yanks are loving this one.

Company standing around for 10 minutes reading bible stories (after an artillery barrage) before going over the top. Gee they must have really underrated the japs if any of this is based on a true story.

On the positive side, Vince Vaughn was bloody good as Sarge,

Hacksaw Ridge, Saving Private Ryan on steroids only it's a true story. Aussie cast doing seppo accents came across ok. and I like how Mel didn't fall for the Hollywood cliche of having a single villain to personify the Japanese. The 3rd act is pretty full on.

But yeah the action was intense and Vaughn was pretty bloody good as Sarge. 7/10
I thought they handled Hoss' religious beliefs well. He wasn't trying to push them on anybody else but it is what he believed.

Watched Ouija: Origin of Evil and The Shining back to back. Never seen either of them.

Ouija - the reason why not to trust 9 year old girls plus a nice "dead" ending - 6/10

The Shining - what a performance from Jack Nicholson! - 8.5/10

Sewer Side Squad - if I knew it was one of those "movies", I wouldn't have bothered. However, I did detect a subtle mythological theme ala Clash and Wrath of the Titans.

1/10 due to some nice arse shots of Margot Whoever.

Guinea Pig - Devil's Experiment - I have never cringed and felt phantom pains in various parts of my body so much while watching this. I've seen some mad stuff but this is the king of squeamish horror. Just 10 minutes into its 45 minute duration, I wanted it to finish but I couldn't keep my eyes away. Maybe the girl should have left hers at home.

Simply unrateable.
