Rewatched the 1st Transformers live action movie. I've never had as much hatred for this series as others understandably seem to but I do think they've gotten worse as they go on. The 1st one, for the most part, still holds up as quite a good movie though I think.

They are all good popcorn flicks.

The first one was a great popcorn flick as has been mentioned, but number 2 was a drag. Have not been able to get through the others

Who can forget the imagery of those 2 hanging metal balls, one balls up of a movie but it still made a lot of money, no longer is the US domestic box office an indicator of success it's now the Chinese market that why Michael bay continues to make these kinda of movies.

Hacksaw Ridge - Brilliant

I can't remember what beat it for the Oscar but it must have been a fcking amazing movie

Lala land won best picture...oh no wait, sorry Moonlight actually won.
I've not seen either but I agree Hacksaw Ridge is amazing. My best of last year.

Double viewing today...
Spider-man Homecoming. Good time at the movies, funny, likeable characters, good action. Very much feels like a Marvel movie, maybe my favourite Spidey movie (on 1st viewing anyway). 8.5/10

Wonder Woman. Really good movie which is in the same vein as the other DC movies but much tighter. These DC movies are done quite different to the Marvel ones which I appreciate, I don't want them to try to copy. Gadot nailed it. 8.5/10

Power Rangers.
Good little popcorn flick for the kids.

But the main character was distracting. He looked like some weird blob/mix of Zac Effron, Chris Pine and a young Robert Downey Jr
