Couple I've seen recently

Battleship- just awful, reminded me of Transformers on the sea
The Water Diviner- not a fan of Crowes movies but I didn't mind this, for an Aussie film it was very good
Nightcrawler- JG is quickly becoming one of my favourites, he is a real creepy f*cker in this- good movie 7/10

Avengers 2 - enjoyed it thoroughly

Also the things I would do to Scarlett Johansson, my oh my...

i thought it was ok, didnt offer anything new we hadnt already seen.

Scarlett Johansson and the hulk, bloody hell if those two got it on... literally.

I really enjoyed Avengers 2. Funny, engaging action sequences, and even a couple of sadder moments.

As the unofficial conclusion to Phase Two (Ant Man seems like it will largely stand alone to establish the character), it put a few interesting things in motion (Hulk's isolation, Thor's investigation into the Infinity Stones), gave a character (Hawkeye) some much needed depth, and introduced us to the new Avengers (Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, and Vision) who will have big parts to play in Civil War & beyond. It also planted some more seeds for the Black Panther standalone.

Avengers 2 was the nerdgasm I thought it would be. Great way for Whedon to bow out of the MCU, and can't wait for the infinity war, and everything in between (especially civil war)

Also, Vision is f**king awesome

Exactly the problem I had with it.
They could have at least explored the whole 'humanity is its own worst enemy' theme a little better. That's an excellent idea for a movie, but they were more interested in smashing up robots.

I'd expect the extended cut on blu ray should add that extra depth as it apparently adds an extra hour to it

Also, I felt the subplot with Banner and Romanov felt out of place and unneeded.
Just seemed like Whedon was just trying to give them something to do.

Really?
That's a shitload of extra footage if that's true.

Maybe not an hour, but at least enough to take it to over 3 hours in length. There's also an alternate ending too

Avengers: Age of Ultron doesn?t hit American theaters for another week, but Marvel?s latest superhero epic opens today in many theaters around the world. This means that you need to tread cautiously if you want to avoid spoilers, but it also means that Amazon.co.uk is already offering its users the chance to pre-order the film on Blu-ray and DVD. We know that the window between theatrical and home releases are shrinking, but that?s just ludicrous. However, it?s the details about the disc that should get fans stroking their chins and saying ?Hmmm.?

As you can see in the announcement below, the disc version of the film will feature an ?extended version? an an ?alternate ending.? We would like to comment further on this, but we haven?t seen the film yet. So we have no idea what could be different. Yet.

We do know that director Joss Whedon?s original cut of the film ran over three hours, which is significantly longer than the final theatrical running time. It wouldn?t surprise us at all if the home release restores some of the darlings he was forced to kill on the road to delivering a non-bloated and watchable movie. He previously told Collider that he didn't know exactly how much, but that we'd get a ?goodly sum? of additional footage on the DVD. We do know that the mysterious woman from the trailer was a scene that never made it into the movie, so perhaps she re-appears?

As for that alternate ending ... who knows? Whatever it is, it surely can?t be too different than the finished version. After all, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all about continuity. You don?t want to muddy those waters, especially when the nerds will eat you alive for any inconsistencies.

For Avengers and really a lot of movies do this, I hate how characters come up with ideas to save the world with some random science jargon that's just feels a little too convenient.
Seems like lazy writing to me

I'm just glad it didn't have the 'destroy this one thing and then all the other things will automatically stop' trope we've seen in so many movies (including the first Avengers).

I think Fast and Avengers 2 will be tight....but agree with you in that Fast will end up in front. Star Wars on the other hand will very likely beat every film this year.

Really enjoyed the avengers 2.

I've seen a few negative reviews about it which surprised me as I thought it was well done.

I suppose once the plot for the 3rd and the 4th movie and the next guardians film start to take shape this film will start to fit a lot better in to the whole scheme of things.

Although it went away from the characters roots... I liked what they did with Vision... intertwining him with Jarvis. And then using Paul Bettany to play him... Although a concept made purely for this film series.. I thought it was genius...
