1. hold down for long pass or tap for short pass(rugby league game)
2. tap once for short pass or double tap for cut out and so on (world championship rugby)

i think it depends on a lot of factors, if you use the tap system, the AI defence has to be strong so you dont score from every play.

I dunno. :-k

On one hand holding down may result in a pass not going to the man you intended it to go to. But tapping the button to pass might get annoying after a while.

Maybe they can put both systems in and we have the option of using either one.

Have a special passing Matrix system so you hold a button and pass and the play goes slow whilst you move a cursor over the player you want. The longer the pass and closer the defense the riskier the pass but also the more lethal to the defense.

Matrix Passing would be cool as long as you could control it.

Say have the playmakers the only ones to be able to do it and during play you can hold down a button and it turns Bullet time on where you can either do a pin point kick or a pin point pass, but while the bullet time is on there is a pressure meter that determines the amount of pressure the player is under from like opposing players and game situation.
