Baked chat potatoes and leather jackets and threw together a salad with cos lettuce, roasted red capiscum, steamed asparagus and chick peas.
Throwing it all together, i thought how boring, Chat potatoes came out beautiful, crispy on the out side and still fluffy inside, fish was leatherjacket, cooked perfectly, baked in a bit of oil and white wine, tasted perfect, and for the boring salad, steamed the asparagus then threw it in the fridge to cool down with the rest of the constructed salad. Was so underwhelmed making it but i and the better half reckon it was one the best meals i have ever cooked/made because every ingredient just complemented each other.

Going to make a prawn and mussel pasta tonight in a tomato sauce, bought some octopus also at Orange Grove markets and trying to work out whether to grill/bake it or put it in the pasta dish, think i will grill it after marinating it lemon verjuice and olive oil.

Wow, must say the octopus turned out very nice, nice and tender, perfect fit with the dolmades, tarasmasalata and scorched green olives, nice Greek feast. Going to have a break before i make the prawn pasta.

Actually do most savoury things, rarely anything sweet apart from the rock cakes , don't have the confidence really to try anything with pastry.

I'm all savoury when it comes to cooking. Doesn't mean I don't like the desserts, only good at eating them though, not making them. My grandmas jam roly poly or biscuits are a real throwback. The smell and taste would take me straight back to a wonderful place.
