Season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet just dropped on Netflix in the last few days.

It’s f**king hilarious and worth watching for Timothy Olyphant’s facial expressions alone.

White Gold

Mix of The Wolf of Wall Street and the Inbetweeners, it even has 2 of the guys from the inbetweeners in it

Set in 1980s essex, about a sleazy door to door salesman. If lowbrow humour isn't beneath you then you might like this

Anyone watched behind the curve? It’s a documentary about flat earthers, they’re really on another level.

Yeah Ive watched it.

Found it entertaining and enlightening.

Really understand conspiracy theorist more after watching this, and why it is useless even bothering to argue with them.

Loved how they come up with proper experiments with clear pass/fail criteria then when they fail they justify the results.

Or the guy on flight tracker saying he’s watched for weeks and no flights from southern hemisphere, but they pull it up on screen and there are heaps.

Very strange people.

there's a compilation of reporters/interviewers/panelists etc not being able to keep it together while having flat earthers on their show on youtube. Pure gold

Black Summer- binged all 8 episodes.Thought it was well paced zombie drama. Enjoyed it much more than the last few seasons of The Walking Dead. This felt like an extended 28 Days Later. More suspenseful and less focussed on zombies or sheer horror. It created a solid amount of tension. Sure there were some dumb decisions and hokey moments though that seem required in any zombie story.

Just finished it and really enjoyed it. I liked the way they kept the dialogue minimal for long stretches. Gave everything a sense of urgency rather than "let's all take a breather so we can exposit our back stories".

My only real issues with it were the way they played it quite fast and loose with the effect of guns on the zombies (as well as it feeling like where they were aiming was nowhere near where they hit quite often).

The final moments of the season were a slight letdown IMO. Hoping season 2 opens with a bit of a twist/clarity because the ending felt very contrived/convenient. I can forgive that though because the final episode was pretty awesome, especially that opening few minutes before everything really went to hell.

I thought this was well done. Loved the pace of it.

black summer has been suggested to me a few times as well. Guess i will give it a go next.

I'm about half way through doom patrol, bit strange and very different to the standard superhero stuff. Brendan Fraser seemed to disappear off the planet for some time but is pretty good in this

Virunga: Gorillas in Peril.

Quite tense for a doco, highly recommended.

Really good.

Recently did the Gorilla trekking stuff in Uganda, amazing animals and beautiful part of the world being ruined by greed and corruption.

Netflix have cancelled Santa Clarita Diet which sucks because it was such a clever, original show. It's recently completed third season has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

There is a growing trend of Netflix cancelling its originals, many of which are done seemingly without telling the creative teams as they leave them unfinished. Meanwhile they spend a bajillion dollars keeping the rights to Friends and The Office and letting Adam Sandler make shitty movies. With Disney+ launching in the US soon Netflix wants to watch what it does with its content.

That's what was great about the 'old' Netflix, they would give a series a go that had no chance of even getting a pilot made elsewhere. And listening to the directors/producers they would seemingly get creative freedom to do as they wish. Otherwise they may as well just re-run Gilligans Island and Seinfeld.
