First two seasons were great, first in particular.
After that it drops away terribly
Yeah, that last season from 2018 was quite meh.

Yeah, my Mrs likes the zombie shit too, otherwise I never would have given it a second look. The last season was a bit disappointing and it's not something that I would rewatch in the future, but overall I'm glad a watched it. I think they did a decent job developing the characters, the plot has more holes than a colander, but the cast made up for it.Low B grade is being generous. Seen bits of it as my wife loves that genre, but not the worst thing ever.
I might give it a run. I don't recall not enjoying any of your recommendations.Watching Fauda. An Israeli show about a special forces op dealing with Hamas. Shows both sides and isn’t as biased as you may think. Nearly finished season 1 and it’s really enjoying it.

One of which was Animal Kingdom. What are your thoughts on the latest season?
Renn is very hot.Been a bit slow, different without (modern day) Smurf there. Still enjoying it though. On the plus side how HOT is Renn
Another quality recommendation. I binged season 1 over the weekend, they have done a great job making both sides easy to sympathise with on some levels, which I found surprising given how the real situation would be over there. Most of the media we get dehumanises the "enemys of the west". As brutal as some of the things portrayed in this show are, it does very well in not portraying the characters as mindless monsters.Watching Fauda. Animal Kingdom has been slow. Lots of little sub plots with Renn and Pope. Certainly misses the leader of the pack in Janine. Her control over the sons has shown just how dysfunctional they are without her. I think the next few weeks are going to get interesting. Great line when Craig and Derryn do the job on tech geeks and Craig discovers they are using one dollar bills to cover massive bets with Bitcoin etc. ” You guys suck at being rich”I might give it a run. More Renn is a good thing. More young Smurf is great too.Animal Kingdom has been slow. Lots of little sub plots with Renn and Pope. Certainly misses the leader of the pack in Janine. From a story point I don't agree - from a visual point of view I have to agree.More Renn is a good thing. More young Smurf is great too.
Apparently next season will be the last, hopefully they havent gone one too many. I'm enjoying this season, but I'm feeling like they could wrap it up nicely over the next 5 or 6 episodes.
I was definitely meaning visual. I don't hate the story part, it gives a bit of insight as to why Pope is as f**ked up as he is. Not really critical to the overall storyline of the show though. I will admit, it's part of the reason I wonder if they would have been better off having cut that bit down or out all together and wrapped it up this season. From a story point I don't agree - from a visual point of view I have to agree.
The Pope stuff is doing my head in. The default for the show for three seasons now has been to have him stand there looking perplexed.I was definitely meaning visual. I suppose the other relevance is showing a bit of who Pam is and how she fits in.
I just watched the first season after seeing you two discussing it in this thread. It's a good show. Although I was having real trouble at times telling the Palestinians and Israelis apart at first, not helped I think by some of the Israelis being Arab maybe? Anyway, I got my Palestinian friend to watch it and let me know and he said he couldn't tell half the time either. We both agree that the Palestinian they call the Jew looks like an Arab too. It’s a good one isn’t it. Ive just finished Season 1 and surprised what a quality production it is. Being an Israeli series it feels very authentic compared to when a Hollywood studio does a similar story. It deals with some pretty horrific atrocities but like you say humanizes both sides.
The same people have been involved in the new Netflix production ‘Hit and Run’ which Lior Raz (Doron) also stars in. Set in Tel Aviv and New York so might give that a go after this.
