This is just dumb by Netflix. Currently I share my mates and he pays all year (and I share Stan with him), now we'll both just probably move to getting it individually the odd month and mega bingeing stuff we want, which will be less revenue for them than the all year round of previously. We just cancelled netflix. 3 households spread all over the country. They’re cracking down. Not worth keeping.
I think you have to completely divorce it from the movie before watching it.I've been watching Animal Kingdom which I know a few people here like, I've nearly finished S5.
It is overly Americanised, the writing can be dumb at times - appealing to the target audience I think (Americans), I found Smurf's character and/or actor to honestly be weak AF which is funny because she's is heavily praised as one of the show's highlights, but... I also can't stop watching it. I think the best way to sum it up is, you've heard the term popcorn flicks, well this is popcorn television. Try not to think too hard and you'll have a good time. I will be sad and miss the characters when I'm done. Especially young Smurf...
Yeah I'm not entirely convinced that's what J the character would have actually done. I could understand him ditching them since it was their dumb idea to begin with. There is some justification to that throughout the series. Deliberately setting them up to die though? Eh.I think you have to completely divorce it from the movie before watching it.
It was an extremely silly, but as you note very watchable popcorn show. I think Smurf was good as she was supposed to be annoyingly awful and she was ... and I know why you like young Smurf (who I found annoying in the same way as old Smurf).
The characters often would change personalities within a season. I'm also not sure they really sold Jay's arc.
Is the Boys on Netflix now?
