I'd happily have NSW lose the next 20 years of origin in exchange for the roosters winning 1 grand final in that same time period.

Reason I started this thread is quite simply I am sick of all this talk of "The Origin Attitude" I'd much rather players for my team to aim up and have the Shark attitude of eating other teams alive.

Feel exactly the same

Only Qlders would vote origin

With origin I care during the game but straight after have forgotten all about it. If the tigers play on a Friday night the mrs knows the result decides if I'm in a good mood for the weekend or not

A premiership is much harder to achieve that a SOO series win, although NSW seems to want to prove otherwise.
You can't really compare though, as Origin is a spectacle with the best NRL players from each state, and couldn't exist without the NRL or a similar club competition.

But yeah, Origin is the pinnacle of the game, because it is a fierce rivalry between most of the best RL players on the planet and regardless of the score, it never disappoints!

Melbourne Storm > Everyone.

If there was a Victorian Origin team, it might be a different story.

Definitely club football. I used to get the shits after NSW lost for a good week or so afterwards (half my family is from QLD), but following several years of idiotic selection policies I don't find myself invested in Origin as heavily as I used to be.

If the Tigers lose it ruins my week and often a lot longer. I'm still shitty about the loss to the Dragons a month ago.

I used to be all about origin but seeing us win 6 in a row has changed my thinking. In the 90s it seemed like the Broncs alway won and origin always lost, now its the other way around

Club footy by the length of the straight. I love origin and get into it when it comes around but if it disappeared tomorrow I would shed no tears. After an origin series, win, lose or draw I'll have little feeling for the result after a few days, basically til the next Manly game. Manly winning or losing will change my mood for the next week. Seeing them win a premiership is something else.

From a NZ perspective its pretty touch and go whats more important to me between the Warriors and the Kiwis, probably the Kiwis just.

Origin. I grew up with Origin as the biggest 3 nights of my young life each year - i simply couldn't wait to watch the likes of Daley, Stuart, Chief and ET wearing the sky blue.

My first game of live League was game II 1991 so i knew from the get go that Origin was as good as it got.

I would take a NSW series win over a Newcastle premiership as of right now, but that's 6 years of pain talking.

I'm pretty sure the Knights haven't won a grand final in the last 6 years - so why are you more eager for NSW to win a series? This isn't a knock on you but I don't understand how people could be more passionate about a team that plays 3 times a year compared with a team you follow throughout the entire year and even offseason
