I like watching Test and Origin footy to see the game's best players duke it out and exhibit their skills. But it just doesn't elicit the same response from me as my beloved Eels do.

Even when NSW were on top 7 or 8 years ago I didn't care too deeply about Origin.

Would prefer to see the Cowboys take out the Premiership this year but watching the cream of the crop play is thoroughly enjoyable and there is nothing like it.

I only enjoy SOO so that I can see opposition teams belt the crap out of each other, before the club match

I think all the NSW fans will vote club football on this one,.

Yup......

I honestly can't chose between the two. Since the last Broncos premiership in '06, QLD series victories from '06 til now in SOO has soothed my Broncos disappointments considerably.

I'd trade a QLD series win for another Brisbane GF win at the drop of the hat right now though. The monotony of QLD winning year after year has become a little .....mehhh

Nahhh......not really.

I still love it !!!! :D

Dragons winning one comp is worth more than 15 straight nsw origin series to me

Love the origin still but I have lost a little interest after these 6 years

Im NQ born and bred and place my Cowboys far above QLD SOO.

The QLD team might represent my state but over half this states population are f**kheads so it's really a moot point.

*disclaimer- a certain few of you other QLDers that post in here I don't mean you (Big Pete, Hellteam etc etc)

Yeah like NSW are all such good guys........

You farkin shit me with your pathetic desperation to fit in

Self hating f*ckwit !!

Club by a country mile. The constant speculation on origin line ups from round 2 infuriates me and takes the spotlight from club games

I love my club and state but I'd say first and foremost I'm just a rugby league fan in general.

I was cheering for the Kiwis on friday because I just want to see the game be as competitive as possible at all levels.

I don't care if its unpatriotic. My alleigance in these matters is to the game above all else.

Origin is the best v the best - in an intense environment that only the old Ashes tests used to get close with. Then when it's over, and the Aussie side is picked, half the opposition become someone you cheer for.

Origin is as much for the whole state. FFS Bob Carr used to get involved in Origin even though he didnt know Queensland was in it lol.

Support for club is very close to the heart. Winning a comp is the pinnacle by light years. I never had an inkling of urge to race into the city and burn down the SCG when the Blues won their first series.

The pain of losing each of the 5 gf's that we lost still surfaces. Origin is merely an annoyance in seeing gimps happy at my expense. That, plus sometimes with Origin I have to cheer on some f*ckwit from Manly or Canterbury!!!!!!!!

The promotion, investment and success of Rugby League is more important to me than my club. The SOO is the games biggest billboard, and without this, we all would miss out. When the International game gets credibility and investment, it should be where SOO is at as the pinnacle of the game.

It depends exactly what youre asking. If its a question of the importance of winning an Origin series or the Cowboys winning a premiership then its a premiership hands down every day of the week.
But if its a question of the Cowboys winning their game on the weekend or QLD winning their game then Origin is more important to me.

Theres no doubt that Origin is the pinnacle of rugby league. But any player will tell you that winning a premiership is the pinnacle of their playing career.

Most of the people if not all the people will tell you winning a premiership is important easily.

A Parramatta premiership > NSW winning a SOO series.

uhh yeah, thats what i said.

My point was more about the question OP is asking. A lot of people have answered his question assuming he is asking about a SOO series win V club premiership, but im not sure if thats exactly what he asked.

I love Origin

I love that when Origin is on and the Roosters play the Storm, Dragons or Broncos that we're given an advantage we wouldn't usually have.

If the NRL could kindly schedule the draw so that the Roosters play the team with the most Origin commitments when those f**kers are in camp and have a rule that no Roosters players are picked for Origin, then I'd be prepared to vote in the poll for Origin.

The only thing that gets me more pumped up than Origin is a broncos finals game.

I'd take a premiership over a QLD origin win, but for pure emotion Origin is hard to beat.

Broncos finals game>>SOO>>Club games

premership obvsiously over SOO win, but..

a club game vs state of origin, i personally make more of a effort to watch origin, eat some munchies maybe have some drinks with some mates and swear at the tv ridicoulously.

Im not saying i dont do that for club games, but origin is an event.

For me personally the two highlights of my time watching league was :
1st. 2009 Grand final run. Il never forget the prelim final vs dogs and the feeling that brought, but the whole last 3 months of that year was a dream.

2nd. Game 2 SOO 2011. il never forget gallens performance, also the fact we actually won.
